I think Phil smirks a bit at Berman but not sure.

Very exciting man. I can't wait to see what the finished roster's gonna look like and to start rolling!!! Good, well-thought out responses by Phil here although I didn't quite understand his response to the KP desired weight question and how long it'll take him to get there (a good question btw) -- started off talking about Pau Gasol's weight as a rookie and I was with him but he lost me when he said "1 stone, 2 stone"? What did he mean there? Did he mean 240 lbs, and eventually up to 250 lbs.?

1 stone = 14lbs

The United Kingdom's imperial system adopted the wool stone of 14 pounds in 1835.

I knew what he was talking about, although not the exact weight of a stone. Just wanted to play with their heads...good reporter asks what a stone is, though.

Kind of scary, but I actually use "Philspeak" sometimes with a deadpan face- people usually have no idea what you are talking about because they either expect a normal answer with a straight face, or more of an animated response if you are joking with them.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

1 stone + 14lbs

The United Kingdom's imperial system adopted the wool stone of 14 pounds in 1835.

Ahh, never heard that before. Thanks!

Seems people always focus on the odd things Phil says. We have to learn to get past that stuff. He is just a quirky guy. He loves doing stuff like that. In the end I think he did a great job in this draft. We all hoped he would get a 2nd 1st rd pick and he did. This rebuild is off to a great start IMO. You have 2 young prospects with a lot of potential and skills right now.

KP comes in with high skill level even if he's a stick right now. It didn't seem to stop him from contributing in a very good league. The assumption is that KP won't be able to contribute as much as some of the other top picks. We don't really know that. It could be that he's more capable than we give him credit for. Summer League should be must see TV.

Funny to hear his comments from his mouth as one would have thought "favorite son" was sarcastic comment being a dick, but seeing the comment live it came across different.

Phil is a dick. But he is our dick for now. When he was lord of the rings I was torn as I wanted to hate him as his bulls tortured us, but he was a garden favorite for years and was very much part of the success and character of the legendary knicks!

nix you shouldnt get too upset. It creates good discussion. Lets face it too much positivity and ass kissing would get kinda boring lol. Anyway i liked the introductions seems like both are hard working kids with talent

Love it when the kids say what a great organization the knicks are! Historically its a hot mess of a franchise but with the cultural revolution we can HOPE this is a place where we support and nuture young players and develop them.

Legendary MSG is a great place to play and nothing wrong being young man with Victoria Secret models in the front row for the picking! I hope Rhianna takes Kristaps home and rocks his world!!!!!

LOL i caught that too. They havent paid attention the past 15 years. On a serious note i like both picks. Grant was a steal and if porzingis reaches his potential we are in good shape

gotta say Im pretty phuckin high on the koolaid right now. Ive been fair in saying Phil hasn't done anything impressive except one thing, and that's get Dolan to utter the word "rebuilding."
While I can see the logic or reason in his trades they have not been impressive in any way shape or form... until now.

People start these douchetard threads about blaming Fisher for winning games that dropped us to 4, in a lottery where even if your the #1 worst your highest % chance is... yea that's right... 4. But I digress in confusing the lost with logic....

This is a great draft. KP is going to be a player. He loves basketball. Bargs does not love basketball. He plays because hes good at it and it pays him well. That's exactly what I do. I really like my job. It pays me well. Im good at it. My passion lies in other things. KP's passion lies in hoops. The downside with this kid is what? You know he's going to be a scorer at 7'2 with a 7'6 wingspan and an effortless jumper. It looks like he's throwing a paper ball into a trashcan from 5 feet away. So even if he really never gets strong enough to deal with good NBA post scorers EVER, his downside is high level, high % scorer, high level help defender, weak man 2 man. Hey.. that's more all stars!

Grants a gem. One of my favs. Im very excited for this teams future.

agreed i like what phil has done. However people who dont like it have a right to their opinion. I wouldnt call them a douchtard because there is no need for that. Hopefully those fans will come around and buy into what phil is trying to do

fair enough, but you gotta admit douchetard is a great jab. Covers so much ground. Cant blame a guy for trying to get that in there...
