Okay...this guy was worthy of a late first round pick. As the 2nd round was proceding, i was hoping the Knicks would buy a pick and take him. Hope he accepts. 6'11 center prospect...

We're gonna have a very interesting SL squad:

Porzingis
Grant
Galloway
Early
Ledo
Thanasis
Hernangomez? (any chance we can get him here in time?)

I'd look to add the following to that nucleus:

Scotty Hopson (I think he's better than Ledo)
Kevin Murphy (one hell of a scorer)
Jordan Bachynski
Khem Birch
Jerrelle Benimon
Eric Griffin

Maybe a couple of the better players from the undrafted pool:

Cliff Alexander?
Christian Wood?

Who else is out there that makes sense to bring in? Who am I missing?

Yep. I was a Christian wood fan
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Nice to hear, but the kid is wiry and I doubt we sign him to a contract. Too bad we can't retain rights in the D-League.

Alexander, now he has the body and skill to play. We should do all we can to get that prior lotto talent here.

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2015/6/26/8849919/nba-draft-2015-top-undrafted-free-agents

Cliff Alexander, PF/C, Kansas

Alexander's fall is maybe the most precipitous in the entire draft. He was projected as a lottery pick before ever reaching Kansas, where he was supposed to team with first-rounder Kelly Oubre to make Bill Self's Jayhawks dangerous in 2014-15. But Alexander never broke into Self's starting lineup to stay, and then an NCAA investigation into his amateur status prematurely ended his Kansas career. With that cloud over him and a less than thrilling season of play on his record, Alexander's stock was damaged entering the pre-draft process -- but few thought he would go entirely undrafted. He's still got a big body and the talent to be an NBA player, but Alexander's NBA career now must run through undrafted free agency.

Michael Frazier, SG, Florida

Frazier drew some skeptical looks when he chose to leave Florida for the NBA Draft after a disappointing junior season marred by injury, but he was still one of the best shooters in college basketball over his three-year career, and the increasingly three-happy NBA does have 30 teams that could use shooters. His problem, though, is that he may be little more than just a shooter at the NBA level; if Frazier can get hot in summer play, maybe he finds a roster.

Aaron Harrison, SG, Kentucky

Harrison was one of the heroes of Kentucky's surprising run to the 2014 NCAA Tournament final, hitting clutch threes throughout the Wildcats' charmed existence in March Madness. The 2015 edition of Kentucky, though, found Harrison doing things less efficiently than freshman Devin Booker, and without the on-ball skills as a creator possessed by his brother, Andrew -- who did get drafted -- that March magic wasn't going to compensate for his relatively inefficient game.

Robert Upshaw, PF/C, Washington

Upshaw was going to get drafted on talent and potential alone, if he was going to get drafted at all: His most impressive production was prodigious block totals at Washington, and he didn't even make it to February before being dismissed by the Huskies this season. If any player is likely to follow the path of a player like Hassan Whiteside, who emerged from obscurity after years spent figuring out his life, it's Upshaw, but going undrafted makes that harder.

2015 NBA Draft
Robert Upshaw could be a star if he overcomes his demons

Christian Wood, PF, UNLV

The wiry Wood likely needs to add weight before becoming an NBA regular. That said: He averaged a double-double at UNLV as a sophomore, occasionally looking better than first-round pick and teammate Rashad Vaughn.

Woods would be another high risk/high reward guy- if you see something in him you keep him.

Woods and Porzingis can become weight gain buddies, too. Lots of nice food in NYC.

^^ Thanks Earthman! Forgot about Upshaw & Frazier -- Upshaw's huge and can block shots and this Frazier can really shoot it.

Forgot about Daniel Hackett too. The Knicks like this dude--looks like he's matured and improved his game a lot in Europe. Could be this year's Chris Copeland-type find..

Wood can be a Jerome Williams type player in the NBA....Williams was a wirey, rebounder who was relentless on the boards....also good call on Alexander...

Probably the most athletic SL team we've put out. I think Gallo will be doing SL, too, and if he is, he will be a starter.

Yeah Galloway would probably start at SG. I think it is also one of the most talented SL teams we put out. Grant will probably put up 18-7-5 and I predict KP will put up 19 and 8

Wow that would be great. At the end of the day he's 6-11 218 with nearly a 7-4 wingspan and played very well for the most part against some very good competition. Hes a very decenet shot blocker and lengthy rebounder with a diversity of offensive skills. He has some positional awkwardness but hes 19 and averaged 15-10-3. he can shoot from 3 ball land and in. He was worthy of a draft pick from 25 back. This could happen but it would be great of the Knicks gave him a solid chance--Id say wed have a top 3 draft if he comes on our SL team. I think some naysayers would be quiet.

Woods kind of reminds me of a better defensive version of Jeremy Tyler, if he can put in the work unlike Tyler, then he can do big things for us. He would probably have been drafted early to mid second round in last years draft and probably would have been drafted mid to late first round in the 2013 draft.
