I think Porzingis will be a star in New York. More elite GM's believe in his talent than any other player in this draft.

I hope that's true.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

On Porzingis,
Briggs, prior to his workouts, you were saying something about his bones?
And you wanted an entire medical staff to do some research or something?
Something about Growth/Bone Spurts?

Was it pure speculation or did you have a reason/proof or know of somebody that had issues?

Also about Durant's injury as well? Is it the same thing or similar to BIG Z and what EMBID is currently going through?

I am thinking right now, though Monroe is a UFA?
Should we use some money to test some FA's though it will piss some GM's off if we do so and read that GM's, TEAM's, Owner's, are all not too fond on Phil Jackson and New York Knick's to begin with
Wanting to see us fail....

Like Ernes Kanter, Middleton, Jimmy Butler *to do a deal similiar to Chandler Parsons so that he could be a FA in 2 seasons with a PLAYER option on 3rd year, and a no trade clause for year 1 at the MAX*

Maybe even test Mike Muscula if Atlanta uses the max money early? and will eventually need to pay Horford and Dennis Schroedder....
Could be a poison pill this summer, which will look like NOTHING by year 3 anyway...

We want to fully utilize our cap space against competitors but would rather someone else do the dirty work as we are one of the more hated franchise by other TEAMS/GM's and we lack picks/assets to NOT GIVE A CRAP
If we had assets and young players team would deal with us anyway, however, if we lack flexiblity, they will continue to make us overpay like we did after we acquired CA for scrubbs like Camby, Felton, AB *though this one was on CAA and Woodson*

I can't say they're wrong. He obviously has talent. His only issue right now is not being really strong, but he could play a role as a stretch 4 or big 3. He has legit skills. I think it was worth the risk in terms of his upside. It's a risk but how often do we hear people say that you should take the BPA? If they think he was the BPA then that's something you can't just say is wrong.

I wanted WCS but the one thing I like about this kid is that he WANTS to be GREAT! That is a very important intangible. He wanted NY and he wants to be a star. I don't think we're gonna have a problem with him not giving 110%.

Im sure the Knicks did that. This was my pick the day after I saw his workout and I knew how good he was. I was never privied to see him really play like that. Hes going to be great and at worst very good. He looked ectomorphic so I had some concerns but the way he moved in that workout I knew what he was.

Actually Nickerbocker took him in the draft game last year:) Until that draft workout I had reasonable skepticism but at the end that was my pick--bt that matters not hes a Knick and were much better off.

Per @chadfordinsider, here are Porzingis' measurements: 7'1.25" w/out shoes, 7'6 wingspan, 230 lbs. Longest wingspan in the draft.

We all had our favorites but now that's over. Kris is a Knick now. My main issue was that he has so much to develop physically, but then if you think about it, if KD and KG can play in the league and they weigh the same as this kid then he can play in this league too. He's gonna put on weight in time but he has already played against bigger players and even tho he gets banged a bit he still managed to contribute. So I think he'll contribute early on as he matures.

Briggs - I don't always agree with you but tonight lets enjoy this pick.

I believe in Zingy and will be rooting very hard for him.

Props to Phil for going for a home run.

Truly impressive physical attributes. He's very coordinated too. Usually these long kids are clumsy but he's not having any problems with his agility and movement. I hope for nothing but the best for this kid.

That was last season, the statute of limitations ran out, its in the UK bylaws, ask the mods! I was the first to mention him for this years draft I believe. BigDaddyG, mentioned him last season as well.

Ha, it was me who drafted him last year. No need to pat me on the back all at once lol

Well WCS also looked great when NO ONE IS DEFENDING HIM and NOBODY really believes that he is that type of player that the work outs suggest
Outside of NixLuva, I am sorry but he didn't show me once in the 3years that he is the OFF player that the video's/practice suggest he could be, at least not at PICK 4

However, I do not think KP will be a bust and I find him genuine about wanting to practice whenever he wants/etc, wanting to be a Knick, and NOT BEING A SOFT EURO while looking up to Anthony Davis/Dirk/Gasol and mimicing them...
We need to collect talent that WANTS TO WORK like that, as Weschester is too far to drive to practice with traffic and all, pretty far away from MSG too

I think Dolan should be using a property for a new practice facility and concentrate on develoment with quality trainers/development staff/medical staff *REALLY cause ours SUCKS*/and more preventive injury exercises

Along with using his MSG channels in finding ways to generate money/exposure/business opportunities/maybe some sort of a reality TV SPORTS DOCUMENTERY type
There are quite a few MSG channels that just plays reruns and OLD MOVIES, he needs to find reasons for ALL STARS, TOP TIER GUYS and even other ways to make coming to NY worth the risk
If we can convince one TOP TIER talent, others will follow, even vet min steals, like Lebron has players following him...

he is going to remain lean and be more of a coiled spring as he further matures physically. has anyone seen how long his arms are? the kid is hardly leaving his feet for a dunk. that length is going to be very valuable on the nba level.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I agree. NY fans usually boo the pick, no matter what the sport, so it doesnt surprise me. Just hope that Dolan will be patient.
