Their primary goal tonight is to shed salary, so expect this pick to be packaged with other players to drop their cap number. Terrence Jones figures to be at the top of the list with the Rockets already having Donatas Motiejunas and Clint Capela on the roster.

Lets stay put at 4 and Draft Mundaiy and Draft Lyles with the 18th pick

Phil will have enough money to get vets. Remember that in addition to the literal cap space he'll also have the Room Exception of about $2.5 Mil.

How do you do it, though? Wouldn't we have to take back salary as they want to shed it?

could be true, but i wasn't really sure how that exception works, but again, phil is not trying to rebuild through the draft, he's made that quite clear. I'm thinking he'll use that exception to acquire a vet

yes so it would be like a player and the first round pick n we can give them like a future 2nd or Larkin
