Is this the same guy who played on USC and was cool with Gallo?

Interesting this is all based on a google search so don't read into too much but it seems he left his Milano deal because he had a promise to be signed by a NBA team..... and when you watch video of him on youtube he is basically running the triangle in Europe....

Also Mills was talking about looking at European players to bring to the knicks even before the draft.

This kid is a big lefty PG right? Seem to remember liking him at USC but seems like that was 4-5 years ago. Interesting.

yep, that's him. He was known for his defense and size but considered to raw offensively to draft. It looks like he figured out how to play offense in Italy.

He's really good based on Italian BBall standards (via Wikipedia):

2x Italian League champion (2013–2014)
Italian Cup champion (2013)
Italian Supercup champion (2013)
Italian Cup MVP (2013)
Italian League Finals MVP (2013)
Italian Supercup MVP (2013)
Second-team All-Pac-10 (2009)

Thanks. Hopefully this means the Knicks don't trade their pick for Lawson or Bledsoe.

If this was there guy I would assume a trade like that was to move the player to another team.

Seems a bit complicated but maybe the Knicks move back and pick up another pick if they are moving Bledsoe, Lawson.

Some video

Kinda looks like JR. Only he seems to be a clutch player and beloved in Italy.

Interesting! Could be a diamond in the rough. Certainly fits the "big PG" stereotype that Phil historically likes.

Well that's good but hopefully he didn't forget that we like defense in the NBA and has still been working on that part of his game as well. He sure don't look 6"6' in those clips.

Actually it looks like he's ripped off a lot of MJ/Kobe moves... But perhaps not as athletic. Is he supposed to be a pg or a sg? Looks like a wing scorer in the videos.

I think he plays both positions.

I doubt an unproven player would stop a trade for one of those players.

I think he plays both positions.

Any guard the Knicks look at is likely to be a big Combo. There's no real point to having another pure PG in this system. It's literally a waste of skills for a pure PG in the Triangle. Guards that are big scorer/passers fit better. Low usage, more attack mode, catch and shoot, drive and dish. Also must be a defensive presence. That's the prototypical Triangle guard.

Wargames said he was known for his defense but his offense was to raw coming out of college.
