Hes got some eery similarities to David Lee. Did not play big minutes at Virginia through his career like Lee. Was a tad undersized like Lee but has the same bounce. Was dominant just like Lee at PIT avg 20-10-4 but the difference is he was also a top3 defender in the nation. Hes 6-8 240 with a 7-2 wingspan and a 36 inch vertical.

In the theory "smaller faster better" Darion might be an excellent late 2nd round pick for the Knicks I think his numbers have been completely skewed like Andersen because they played at Virginia(very slow tempo and smaller minutes). I think you might be getting a whole lot more than you think. If I can get my last draft thoughts in I think he could really help us,

Great find BRIGGS. So much value in this draft...hopefully we're able to add another pick or two.

yeah, that's a great find briggs. spot on with the comparisons to lee, as well. seems like a smart kid, definitely a very hard worker... we're SO much better off looking at a guy like this if we're looking to upgrade defensively instead of wasting a lotto pick on stein.

Love round 2 and udfa this year. Atkins would be a late pick in the 50$ and a steal. There's a list of 15-20 guys in rd 2 that have good chances to make nba teams lets grab 3 of them

Very nice find indeed. He may drop right through the draft. It's always hard to evaluate tweeners but I like the athleticism and the basketball intelligence that is obvious in hearing him speak. A young Artest if given the opportunity..

I think he will be one of those picks. He dominated pit so he is no sleeper in the nba ranks. Virginia slows tempo and limits minutes yet he was still acc defensive poy. Obviously has some offensive game that was hidden

Yet Stein dosen't have any offensive game hidden?

I hope we can land some 2nd rounders & I hope we are on top of any undrafted players. We NEED to find some gems from that group - it happens every year.

Absolutely. I can think of a multitude of player combinations out of rd 2 that we could use. If we did draft Stein I think Atkins could be a great buddy for Stein and a quality back up 4-5 . in rd 2. Some of these 2 nd rounders would easily be rd 1 in other drafts. I think Atkins is probably a similar but mu h superior player to Admundson it could easily be Atkins.
