Throw back HS game on ESPNU right now. Lots of talent between the 2 teams. Russell, Mudiay, Jordan Mckey and Dakari Johnson....

No problem. Watching Mudiay carefully...Russells fingerprints are all over this game already. Couple of threes, offensive put back, caused a 5 second violation...his bb smarts is off the charts for a young player. Mudiay has been passive and invisible thus far.

Yeah, that clip of Mudiay blowing past Russell makes me curious of Mudiay's potential...

But watching Russell play... the kid just GETS it. He gets how to run a team. He's part Chris Paul part Steve Nash part Steph Curry.

I think he'll be hands down Rookie of the Year.

Man I wish we'd gotten that third pick, more than any other pick.

Smarts is always better then speed. Russell is a combo of Paul and Curry
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Same...I really hope Philly falls for the hype and Snatches Kristaps allowing Russell to fall to 4. Russell is a really smooth player who knows how to slow the game down while everyone is frenetic around him.

Eventhough Wall and D Rose had questionable jump shots entering the league, they had otherwordly explosiveness. Im not seeing the same level of explosiveness in Mudiay. He has really good size though.

I don't know where or who started that rumor; that kid Mudiay is nothing like Wall. Not as fast, etc

Russell is the most polished player thus far..I like his overall aggressive game..Reminds me a little of Conley minus the quickness..But quick enough..Love Mudiay has the size, handle and willingness to pass but doesn't seem like it translates to imposing his will on the game..

Remember, this game was 2 years ago. Russell was playing mostly as 2-guard. Mudiay strictly playing the point. Russell has quick passing instincts. Would love to see them playing head-to-head today.
