Pvt. Pyle reports this morning that Mark Bartelstein, Blount's agent, and the Celtics have agreed on a 6 year $41 million dollar deal.

Here is the agent's quote:

"I think Danny [Ainge| and Doc [Rivers] did a great job of convincing him that he would be part of great future in Boston," Bartelstein told Insider. "They stepped up to the plate offering their full mid-level exception and I think at the end of the day, Mark felt like they really wanted him the most."

Boston is now out of the running for Etan Thomas. Phili is coming to terms with Skinner which takes them out of the running.

Will Washington match if we offer him the full MLE for 6 years? If wash gets Dampier then no but it will be interesting.

In this market I wouldn't be surprised to see Atlanta or Utah offer Etan Thomas a contract starting at 6 or 7 million.
