Just sounds to me like he isn't so high on staying in Chicago anymore. If he makes it clear he does not want CHI to match, or, signs a one year deal, or some other scenario like that could be possible, I guess. But yeah, I know it's highly unlikely and probably impossible. Just throws cold water on the "Butler wants to stay in CHI above all other options" line of thinking that has been the conventional wisdom so far. |
