Well even if it doesn't the Knicks are still in a great position to add a very nice talent. This is a strong draft IMO. Some feared the Knicks would be shut out, but that was just panic setting in. #4 in this draft is still a very good spot.

Come on man, this is just some self hating Knicks fan talk. The lottery is not automatic and most years it's been pretty much a lock that the worst record didn't get the top pick. I the end we didn't fall to #5. We can do a lot with #4. There will be offers made and Phil will have to weight his options. Just gotta wait and see how things transpire on draft night.

As has been mentioned before, they had to pick twice for #3, because Minnesota was picked first for that position, too.

Does not seem fair, and it really is not from a human perspective, but the odds were never 100%, no matter where you were picking from, and both LA and Philly fans were probably crying before the lottery that they were not in our position of having the 2nd highest number of balls.

This is the real issue, and really goes to the meaning of what the "BPA" means.

Hofresh is right about the uproar Phil will face if he takes him, even if he is the BPA when we pick.

If Porzingis is great and we don't get him when we could have had him, I really hope he goes to a WC team- don't want to have him rubbed in my bloody face all the time.

For all the hoopla Porzingis is getting as flavor of the week, the odds are much better he will be a solid forward than "Dirk 2.0". Think Montenjunas, Valanciunus, etc. And I know the styles of play are
Not the same. I'm not trying to say that's equivalent. I mean that they are solid all around decent players who are cool to have on your team but in no way world beaters. I just don't see it with Porzingis (super star). Though he'll probably be a decent role player/starter. Just my opinion I may be way off and he's the EuroJordan. Right now if I'm Phil I pass at 4.

There is always a gamble when you pick, and that goes for anyone who is picked... and that's not even taking into consideration injury.

For me, at the very least, you should put it out that you are looking very closely at Porzingis if he does drop, because you never know if somebody really wants him.

I'm going with Orlando, which has a history looking at and communicating with him.
