Can only say that I think Towns and Russell will be in the top 3 no matter how things fall...
At 4 I would therefore be looking at OK4, Porzingis, Winslow, and Kaminsky, with Mudiay as the dark horse.
We pretty much are guaranteed to see Winslow, Kaminsky, and Mudiay available at 4.
Some asides...
I think that character-wise, this is a great group of guys to choose from. There are supposedly some things about Mudiay that the Knicks were concerned about (Hahn), but I've heard no rumors of bad stuff since the interview. OK4 and Porzingis are BB lifers, Winslow is a winner, Kaminsky has built his game up and has gone from stiff to stud, and Mudiay has the PG stamp of approval from Larry Brown, which means something to a guy like myself who remembers Brown as an undersized crafty PG with a genius BB IQ
I think OK4, Kaminsky, and Winslow might be the best guys for the Triangle at this time, but the only guys who can hit the midrange shot that is a hallmark of the triangle are Kaminsky and Porzingis.
Kaminsky and Porzingis seem like the most flexible and adaptable players in terms of systems, out there, IMO, but Kaminsky is there already.
If you look at everything each player can do at this moment, Kaminsky is the most complete player of the guys we are looking at, IMO.
Winslow and Mudiay (more on rep than my seeing him extensively) are the best defenders in the group I am looking at, but Porzingis will be more valuable in the future in this aspect.
I predict one trade between teams selecting 1-3.
I predict Orlando will come to us begging for a trade if Porzingis is available at #4.
If we stay at 4 and don't do anything stupid I think we come away with a player who will be an NBA star within 5 years.
This is what I believe...
...for now.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
