And funny - no one ever had a problem with Mosgov when he was here - or at least any sane poster.

JR and Shump - always question marks.

Though I hope Shump gets himself a nice big contract just so he cripples some other franchise.

trash
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Loved Mos... that was the "throw in" that made me loath the Melo trade. I just like him and those coming to America blogs he used to post

Just shows you how relying on offense....especially jump shooters, is very risky because a jump shot is not consistent. Defensive effort is something that’s consistent, and something you can always rely on. This is why JR is so hot and cold. If he's not making jumpers, he doesn't impact the game. Gotta be careful building a team of players that only rely on jump shots, and can not impact in other areas. When their shot is off, it can be a negative affect for the entire team….. Which is why Melo is better when he has room to operate in the post…..Otherwise, he’s just a jump shooter.

Feel very good for Mosgov.

Funny, but Mosgov is gaining status on a national stage as he's been given more responsibility, while certain others have been exposed.

Used the "one man's trash,,,," idiom a few seconds ago in another thread.

Smith and Shumpert both look afraid on the offensive end at this time.

Both, but especially Smith, need to be put into situations where they don't have to think or try to do too much. Smith didn't have many open looks, and when frustrated his 1/1 stuff can be disastrous for his team.

Shump might be afraid to drive, and his J is too erratic to trust or count on.

Still 3 games to go, and redemption is not beyond the realm of possibility.

Wonder if Smith enters the GS arena for game 5 with as much non-chalant ****iness and on his hovertrac. I'm putting a loop of that video in the GS locker room if I'm Steve Kerr.

I think most everyone was a Mosgov fan when he was with us but Dolan just had to stick his fat head in the trade talks and supposedly forced Donnie to add him to the trade. Mosgov really loved playing in New York to and still is disappointed that he was included in that trade. Who knows maybe we can get him back when he's a free agent? If he ever makes it to free agency which probably won't happen.

I had no problem trading shump and jr, my problem is that we got literally nothing in return. As for mosgov it just shows how much we overpaid in that trade

Shump was afraid here in NY to get to the hoop. Shump has always been streaky and his reality an average pro basketball player. Thats not a knock, and he'll make a nice living at it. I know a few years back he was told to focus not on music or hair but on his game and he was until he blew his knee out. He was a gamble and was all spelled out on his draft report and proven to be accurate.

JR has allstar talent and has remained healthy. This guy can play but has focus issues which could be why he seems to mentally break down in the playoffs.

Cav's really wanted Mozzy and knew his skill set and using him properly. This is how MDA was using him and why he was starting for us. Karl didn't. Moz to me seems like a triangle kind of guy and is the kind of player I think Briggs tries to identify, a player not with a universal skill set but one that fits what we are trying to do. Thus, one teams disspointment can be our treasure.

As for JR, he seems like a guy who takes his talent for granted to some extent where some have to bleed and claw to not just stay in the league, but also to get better. Its why I don't respect his game. He does enought to be better than average but has he really gotten better? Maybe if he did, he'd respect his game and his accomplishments and not act the fool. I could see this guy laughing at Phil and Fish trying to teach him things about life and letting shyt go in order to move forward.

On the biggest stage and JR and Shump are doing exactly what they did in NY.

Mozgov is stepping up and earning himself a big payday when his time comes.

All this shows if those guys were not the problem. I won't say what the problem is and risk derailing this thread.

Anyway loved Mozgov & Shump. Still glad JR is gone. Should t have resigned him in the first place as I made very clear at the time. Then we drafted THJ. With all that said about JR...how do we trade them and only get back a 2019 2nd round pick from Durant/Westbrook/Donovan's OKC?

I had to laugh during the game when the announcer said something about Mosgov's 'sure hands'. He had hands like rocks when he was here I see he also learned how to jump straight up and stay out of foul trouble. I can't remember anything but shock when we all learned he was a throw in in the Melo trade.

Can't really say anything about Shump and JR, we've seen it all before, Cav's fans are just waking up from the honeymoon.

I was starting to wonder if I was the only one to remember his stone hands in NY. Moz has looked great though. He's the one guy on Cleveland I will actively root for.

As long as we're talking about our ex's, I'm glad to see David Lee playing some meaningful minutes in the Finals. GS has been looking much more fluid with him on the floor.

Not much time for him to improve with us- you don't develop players in 50 games.
