Lamarcus Aldrige is now selling his Portland home; does that mean we will have a chance to sign this dude? If so, do you think that his game will fit the triangle? Furthermore, will his game jive with Carmelo's?
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

It means the Lakers are gearing up to get him and draft Mudiay or Russell.

If I wanted a max contract from my existing team, I'd list my house and publicize it.

Nalod thinks He should go to LA. IN fact, I'd like it if LA signed:

Gasol
Love
Aldridge and then drafted Russell.

Philly takes Mundiay (I doubt they can resist Oka4)
And then Knicks take Oka4.

He supposedly put his house on the market in 2009, too.

Though I think he's going to the Spurs. And if the Spurs want him, no we have no chance. LMA is from Texas.

I would love to see him go to the Spurs; although I believe the Spurs will sign Gasol

I don't think Gasol is leaving Memphis - he keeps calling the team "we" and talks about building and improving from within. I think he's commited there.

If he wants to win a championship like his brother, it will be wise for him to go and get coached by Pop. That team has the shooters he will never have in Memphis, and the philosophy that fits his game perfectly.

True. And if Melo wanted to really win a championship, he should've gone to Chicago. Sometimes players have other allegiances to a team or a city. Sometimes it's just home. I think for Gasol, Memphis is home. I don't think he'll want to be the second Gasol brother to leave Memphis in the lurch.

Media has him leaning that way for some time. Even if he wanted to leave it would never serve him well to be anything but respectful to his current team under any circumstances!
The Memphis fanchise has paid the Gasol family a bloody fortune and between Pera and Heisley they owe them big time.

Gasol can do his visits and do it in privacy if he wants, or have fun like Melo did last year.

Los angeles if they take Russell has a compelling story to offer Monroe, Gasol, Bropez and love. LMA is more a Forward, which can sign a guy like RoPez to pair with him.

RoPez
Randle
LMA
Russell
Kobe

these guys are not worth the max, neither did anything to elevate their teams the last 2 yr in the playoffs, and both had a roster 10xs better than anything phil would put together in the next yr or 2.

If he was up to me, the big man i want is one that will be a relentless rebounder/shot blocker, fast guards and and 3 point shooters.

If you are talking about Aldridge, He was huge in the playoffs last year..They beat Houston in the first round where he averaged 26.2 pts with 10.6 rebounds, 1.6 blocks in the playoffs..What else could you possibly want next to Melo???...He is was hurt this year in which he had surgery, he couldn't grip the ball...Imagine if Melo had another player dropping 26 pts and 10 boards against Indy two years ago, we would have been in the ECF against Miami...Aldridge and Melo equals contender in the East..

Yeah but the 2nd round he was no where to be found. Im not fond of a big man who primarily shoots jumpers, at least not in the triangle. The fact that we barely shot FT's all season long killed this team big time, especially the first 25 games when we lost a ton by 5 points or less.

We need a big like shaq/OK4 who's going to live in the paint, and feast on back door lobs

Still believe that Russell is in play for them.

Showtime 2.0.

Improbable, perhaps...impossible, not nearly.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

If they feel they can get a big via free agency then Russell is a choice.
