From Michael Lupica ESPN 98.7 NY show today
Mr. Lupica favors LBJ cause solely for all super things seen by eye that Lebron does offensively, defensively as superstar & a winner.
I tried to get on ESPN show today but not able to, I have high pct. getting on air normally weekly(aka DJ from NJ)
(Yes as avid Knick fan hate' em both MJ, LBJ!!!too LOL)

AIR Michael Jordan

KING Lebron James

Anyhow my view is this is an unfair debate and assessment question to both Jordan & Lebron.
My fact is Lebron has more years left in NBA and then can get more facts to base he's BETTER than MJ.

Right now from a "TEAM" standpoint Jordan has Lebron beat on several items, but of course Lebron individually may
be better all around basketball-wise, excluding making teammates better. Both players has great basic skills-set.

Facts:
1)Jordan stayed with 1 team and took his licks from CELTs and PISTONS MJ playing on avg. weak BULLs teams
2)Jordan has his 6 NBA Title trophies and for every appearance WON (6-0) excluding his losses when MJ didn't make NBA finals.
3)Jordan has made "TEAM" then the old school standards from all prior nba champions
where Michael fame was with team getting MOST talented role players supporting BULLs champion teams. Only Pippen was star.
Lebron James only won when he got to play with allstars/superstars as D-wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving & you can add aged Ray Allen.

4)Throw in Jordan as NBA Finals 6 for 6, Lebron is 2 for 5 in NBA Finals
5)And consider if future LBJ hopscotch skips to another team & pairs with superstars for NBA titles Jordan & his peers never did that!

NBA media People making rah-rah on LBJ taking this team to finals & its so great feat,
Michael Jordan had less weapon threats offensively than Lebron teams.

When Lebron nears his end he can have more argument from NBA media . experts if LBJ wins NBA titles 5 or 6 times at least to be in MJ Conversation.

Thus Knick killer Michael Jordan still gets my vote today! and Lebron has a ways to go.
Kobe is closer to MJ regarding talking "BEST" discussions.

However I can't see anyone saying Lebron is clearly better now in NBA titles quests or achievements if the bar is TITLEs & Team
for all discussions about best & eventually hall of fame.
HOF inevitable for LBJ..

Wasn't it also pointed out on Lupica how many rings Russell won, but then that was during the time of the Neanderthals, so we don't consider it.

Not sure you can necessarily compare individuals when this is a team sport.

Not sure you can discount the fact that did the MLB thing.

Not sure you can discount the different rules they play under now. Guys like Lebron, Harden, and others benefit from rules which seemingly want them to score. Jordan and others played at at time when you could get away with much more.

How good would Jordan be in the spread offense the Cavs play with Lebron? James comes down the court, makes his moves, and either gets a foul, a potential assist, or scores. Do you think Jordan would like to play with today's rules.

James is great, but even made greater by rules designed for guys like him.

Really tough to wade through all this stuff to determine who the "greatest player" was.

Bill Russell is chuckling somewhere, though, knowing that nobody will ever touch his record for success.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Jordan left to play baseball, and the Bulls won 55 games without him. Lebron left for South Beach, and the Cavs were back in the lottery.

MJordan,.. that at this point June 3 2015
LeBron can't yet touch these names.

Maybe one day for LBJ but I don't see him winning 6rings like mj
No nba'er will ever achieve 10+rings of legend Russell
