Would any of you consider moving Calderon for Evans and a first or second round pick? Or would you much rather look to trade for Stephenson instead? Both guys can do a lot on the court and both are not great shooters. One difference between the two is one appears to be a mental case.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Why not Galloway for a lottery pick?

Galloway showed a lot of poise and can make the big shots. We must TRY to develop him to see how far he can take his game.

If the Knicks had the Pelicans roster and vice versa, and the Pelicans offered Jose Calderon, and wanted Tyreke Evans and a first or second round pick, would you take that deal?

If you wouldn't, why should the Pelican front office take the deal you just proposed?

I'm sure a lot of the people here play fantasy football or fantasy basketball. There is always one guy in every league who proposes lopsided trades and then acts like he's doing you a favor. Those are guys I call "horse ****ers" because they are looking to horse **** you, every chance they get. They don't take a look at your roster, or what you need, they don't care if what they offer you even fits or if it even presents a bare minimum of a win/win proposition. After a while, no one trades with those guys and no one even wants to talk with them. Because at some point, the offers are basically insulting.

When Phil Jackson offered STAT, THJr and a first for Kevin Love back in the offseason, everyone chuckled. Phil being Phil. Never hurts to try right?

Then Phil Jackson offered Calderon and THJr for Goran Dragic when he was on the trade block. You think people are still chuckling?

The real Knicks actually need to make passable trade proposals when they do engage in other franchises, otherwise they go on the list of "horse ****ers" that no one wants to deal with.

A young team like the Pelicans need a veteran PG like Calderon who can also make shots to spread the floor for their young big dude. They already have D Holliday and Gordon who are all trigger happy guards, Calderon could definitely help solidify that roster

In short, it would be better to put yourself into other's shoes before suggesting an offer.

As such, I find no reason for Pelicans to do this trade at all.
