Nbadraft.net has him going in the early 2nd round. Makes me wonder if there is some understanding that he'll be a draft and stash player because he's definitely got first round talent. I've had my eye on him for quite some time.
Hopefully we could buy a late first rounder to select him. IMO, Brooklyn is the kind of team that would sell their first rounder at 29th and I'd be more than happy to compensate them with cash. I think that the Celtics 28th and 33rd picks could also be in play if we agreed to take on Gerald Wallace's contract. It'd only be a $4 million cap hit if we decide to stretch his contract and getting those picks give us the option of trading up, if necessary. In particular, Dallas should be willing to move their 22nd pick for late picks that will help them save as much cap room as possible.
It's also possible that if the Rockets attempt to make a run at LaMarcus Aldridge, they'll move that 18th pick to help unload contracts that hey either don't want or need e.g. Kostas Papanikouloau (who I really like), Corey Brewer Pablo Prigioni and Joey Dorsey. That'd be a stretch though because the aforementioned players are all very capable and would interest most teams. It's a damn shame Milwaukee bought out Larry Sanders when they did because I would've taken his contract for their 17th pick and a future.
