1. Shame on anybody who thinks we should lose those last 2 games of the season on purpose.
2. Shame on you Phil for not sitting on that stage tonight.
3. Shame on you steve mills for hanging your head when we got the 4th pick.
Knicks can't go anywhere without restoring their pride, and we can't rely on luck or lotteries to get it back.
Go to work with what you have and do your best on the court ( and off, JR smith) at all times. Our most favorite knicks teams were not necessarily the most talented but they had heart, played well together, and they represented the character of New york...which used to mean a tough, gritty, and above all-- proud.
To more practical matters, I think the pressure on the knicks not to screw up the pick is way off now. It would have taken huge balls not to draft towns or okafor and this team's management would have played it straight. I still believe those 2 big guys are NOT right for the knicks or NY. Russell is the only guy we might regret missing out on, but I think the triangle would have stifled him and he'd be running to the Ny post every 5 seconds with complaints...and whatever magic he whips up in Philadelphia would not necessarily have transpired in the garden.
So what now? Kick the tires on Winslow and Mudiay but definitely consider trading down if the right offer comes in. I still think a draft of kaminsky plus a PG is what we need in this draft.
