Looks like they are offering the full MLE. They haven't renounced Sheed's rights yet so they can still go over the cap to sign him. I expect Okur will get a larger offer than this as well.

Boston was one team in love with Etan Thomas. With that competition going after Foyle instead, I think if we really want him, our only competition would be Washington. I don't know if Isiah would be willing to give the whole MLE to Etan, but if he did I think he will be a Knick. Wash has Kwame and Jamison. They need a center in the worst way and I can see them overpaying for Dampier. If they match Etan, they don't have enough cap room to go after anybody else worth mentioning.

I would not hesitate to give Etan the full MLE, perhaps even before Crawford, because we need him a lot more.

As for the Okur offer, isn't the MLE 6 years 38 mil, or were the newspaper reports slightly wrong.

The exact MLE number is not known yet because the cap numbers haven't come out yet.

Yeah that's what I figured. In the end I think Okur will get slightly more than the MLE from a team like Utah.
