Vince was in NYC reciently for what?

Then there is reports that he has demanded a trade where he presented Toronto management with some possible trade scenerios.

Vince Carter in NY?

We're getting reports from Seattle that a three-way is currently being looked into that would send Toronto Superstar Vince Carter to the Knicks, Ray Allen to the Raptors, and Kurt Thomas to the Sonics. My natural guess is other players will be involved as well.

Another 3 way is being discussed between the Lakers, Mavs, and Raptors sending Carter to the Lakers, Shaq to the Mavs, and quite a bit of compensation and relief to Toronto. My opinion is Toronto may not be needed as there are plenty of other teams with superstars looking to be moved such as the Sonics themselves and Philadelphia.

We'll be looking to verify the information from the other markets but the general gist of it is Dallas owner Mark Cuban is attempting to creatively land Shaquille O'Neal in a Mavericks uniform.

What the heck is going on? I don't care about the other stuff but Vince in NY? He's already been linked with NY because his Raptor teams eliminated the Knicks leading to a 2 year stint missing the playoffs.

Vince is always in NY doing something. While he was in NY for "a business trip" he did a read to achieve spot for NBA TV at the NBA Store.

Vince in NY? with Marbury? Man that's too many big heads on one team. Vince and Marbs have the same killer instinct and would be lethal together.

We all know if a 3 way were to go down the Knicks have the usual suspects of KT, Mutombo, Othella, Frank, blah blah blah......

Thoughts?

Vince and Marburry together on the same court may be magical. I have written several threads about this possibility, but the one big problem that we may encounter is Lenny. Those two didn't get along in the last two years of Lenny's tenure as the Raptor's coach.

No thanks to Vince. He'll miss half the season with a sprained vagina

Of course, I'd take him if we don't have to give up many valuable assets to get him, but that's not realistic

Life is funny like that. That's why you don't burn bridges.

This is a business. If Vince was here and the Knicks started winning with Lenny then Vince would look silly.

There is no question that Vince can carry a team.

I think Timmy would have to be included in a trade but he doesn't have to if Seattle decides it wants to try and get under the cap for next season.

Trading Ray Allen could lead to them signing a hometown hero in Jamal Crawford.....interesting. Maybe they want to build around a young nucleus of Collison, Rashard, Crawford and Ridinour.....very interesting to ponder.

With Vince on the Knicks and Timmy still around who the heck cares about Allan Houston? Houston could sit next to Shandon and hold hands.

lol bonnie, this si so true.

He's a jumpshooter right now, now the highlight guy anymore. All his masterfull dunks are now made in open court.

check this out, http://www.nba.com/playerfile/vince_carter/index.html?nav=page , his stats since he entered the league.

Look at the ppg, what a downfall. I'd rather go with houston and his crappy knees. at least he, cannot dance anymore.

Vince will end up in Dallas for Walker and Finley. If they acquire Shaq, Vince will be the best complement to play the Kobe role.

I don't see how shaq could win anything with vince since he couldn't with kobe.

vince is fake. a big name and highlights with no heart.

Wow man Shaq won 3 championships with Kobe....

Vince havng no heart is bogus....Oakley made that comment years ago when Vince was just getting used to the role of carry the franchise boy. Vince now is a totally different monster.

Houston is the one that has no heart.

I'd only do the trade if the Knicks can keep Timmy....there have been wosrt deals in NBA history. It all depends on what teams have planned for the future.

Pheonix is the perfect example. So is Boston.(Danny Ainge is nuts)

I would do that deal also. Vince is a much better player than Houston ever will be. He can shoot the J, and most of all is a hell of penetrator.

How can they even acquire Shaq now? What will they give up? If the trade Walker and Finley for Vince they have nothing to trade for Shaq. Even with Walker and Finley there chances of getting Shaq are now so small since they lost Nash. Unless they put Dirk in a deal for Shaq thats the only way they can get him and that won't happen since sources say that Kobe doesn't even want to play with Dirk. IMO Sacramento is now the front-runner to get Shaq. I still wouldn't be suprised if Shaq returns to the Lakers if they get Mike K. as their coach. Cuban really messed up the situation in Dallas, he made some moves to go after Shaq, but now he has a worse team and he doesn't even have a good shot at Shaq anymore. That Jamison trade hurt them bad in so many ways.

Who cares, my concern is the Knicks. I would love to see Vince as our starting SG.

We have no shot at Vince..... Toronto would only take back a superstar for Vince because he is the only reason why fans show up at their games.

I back it up. vince is fake. The only clutch play he did was nearly making a basket that would have helped his team go in the conf finals about 5 yrs ago.

Say what you want, but Houston is 10 times the cluth player vince is.

As for "vince is a great penetrator", i guesss you must have been watching an old tape of nba action.

Vince, Tracy, Iverson, Pierce, Kobe...........Whats up with everyone wanting to move to the green grass. T-mac made out good, and vince is with Envy.

Vince is a premaddonna mommas boy who is losing his hops and none of the backbone Michael had. Allan at least has hit a big shot, and plays thru injury.

and Lets be real hear guys, at 94mil, this team is getting tapped out.

Don't get your hopes up, those expiring deals need to be expired.

Even freaking POrtland is crawling out of their mess.

Chill...... Do you really think Toronto would trade Vince to us even if they can't get Pierce or Iverson in return? No, they wouldn't. Vince is their main attraction, they will not just trade him for the hell of it, if they trade him they want some very good players in return. Other than Marbury, who can we offer them? They will not take Houston at all because of his large contract, we can't offer them anything. The only way we can land Vince is in a three-way deal which would still be very hard to pull of. We don't even need him for a steep price.

yeah i agree, vince is showy but hes lost that now that hes injured. if this rumor is real (which i really really relaly doubt), id rather do kt for ray allen straight up - i like ray more than i like vince. rya is young, athletic, and has a great shot, which would be key if houston was still hurt.

Houston is a 1-dimensional SG that refuses to do anything else. Carter might be injury prone but he has heart. He has been stuck in a bad situation in Toronto and the injuries dont help the situation either.

I dont want Vince Carter on the Knicks either but dont try and convince yourself Houston is in anyway better than Carter. Carter can score more, defend better, rebound better, pass the ball better and obviously, dunk better.
