I checked out his numbers. He seems like he may be a better shooting Bruce Bowen. Have you watched him play Crush?

I haven't seen him play but he is in the playoffs now. He plays for the Spurs affiliate. There are a couple of other articles out about him now. He sounds like an nba player and one that would fit well in NY.

He was brought up by the Hawks but didn't get a second 10 day. I am not sure. I am going to look for the other article I saw on him and will post it.

Jarell Eddie's impressive shot release from downtown (and success rate, of course) has garnered him consideration as the D-League's best shooter from three-point range, especially during the postseason.

 Tweet (5) Share (1) Pin

On Sunday night, Jarell Eddie sank seven three-point field goals on his way to, not only scoring 35 points, but also leading the Austin Spurs to a victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors that ultimately kept his team's playoff hopes alive.

Eddie caught fire in a hurry, and made sure to turn up the heat when it mattered most. Despite the Warriors' (successful) attempt to trim the opponent's lead to single-digits, Austin had a decent enough handle on the 100-91 win down the stretch, largely in part thanks to Eddie's hot streak.

The NBA playoffs are often where legends are made. But in the D-League, those who come through in the clutch during the postseason often give the basketball world a look into which youngsters are truly ready to knock down The Association's door.

Color the Austin Spurs' sharpshooter as one of those players. Earlier this season, he played out a ten-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks. He also went on to win the D-League Three Point Contest during All-Star Weekend. Sunday night's performance was just further evidence that Eddie may in fact have the staying power necessary to make his mark on the big league level.

During the regular season, Eddie's 45% from downtown was second in the minor league, behind just Seth Curry's 47%., Though numbers never lie, one could still make an argument that Eddie is the D-League's best shooter from downtown.

Like his brother Stephen, the younger Curry's form is key to his success. The biological Splash Bros. are each inclined to let the ball fly high with an impressive arc on their respective shots. As far as Eddie goes, such boldness is also key when it comes to his confidence level. He shoots very well in transition, has a rapid-fire quick shot release, and often manages to follow through amid contact.

Thus, there isn't much a defense can devise in hopes of stopping him on a consistent basis. The way he carries himself, with that extra pep in his step, is unlike most others in the D-League. Eddie is a confident taylor-made 3 and D like player, which means NBA teams should be tuning in as Austin continues to compete in the playoffs with the sharpshooter leading the way.

ok so ive officially jumped on the j. eddie bandwagon. but now im concerned, why hasnt he landed in the league? players that can actually shoot are a wanted commodity. is that he cant play defense? whats wrong with him. lol
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I have been hoping we sign him since Finstrng brought him up first I believe, players that we can CONTINUE TO DEVELOP with great risk/reward

With the other 2 players that I feel would fit in for us and any other team from the D League

1- Jerrelle Benimon SF, SF/PF, strech 4, maybe a Lamor Odom type player as a triple double threat, at 6-8, 245pds, could be a David Lee/Draymond Green/Lamor Odom kind of role to groom...
2- Jarell Eddie, G/F, a Danny Green type talent on shooting, 6-7, 22pds, SG/SF, Danny Green type role that is already a SNIPER
3- Scotty Hopson, G/F, another G/F that can shoot and score/penetrate/facilitate, decent versatile game as well 6-6, 205pds, SG, PG/SG in the triangle, like Eddie House/Brian Shaw but isn't a chucker like Eddie House

really like Daniel Hackett who is on our Summer League as a PG/SG with size that could shoot with both his left and right hand (he changed it like Triston Thompson from right hand to left hand shooting and he was undrafted a couple years back and played in Europe will playing the Triangle as well, a mature HIGH IQ PG/SG that would fit in with Caldeorn's weakness's

We NEED MULTIPLE VERSATILE talents that can penetrate/finish/facilitate as well as POST UP/FINISH/FACILITATE, with players that could SHOOT/REBOUND/DEFEND multiple positions like Phil Jackson had on his Lakers (2 different teams with Shaq and Gasol) and Bulls roster....

2 PLAYERS that would elevate our DEFENSE/SHOT BLOCKING from another position/DEFENSIVE versatility/toughness

Wesley Johnson (played in the Triangle with Kurt Rambis and Derrick Williams so Rambis would know some of strengths/weakness's, though that was many years ago and he has improved much already while he would HELP MENTOR Thanasis as they are similar

James Johnson in a trade (possibly with Early and Acy) and his 2.5m expiring contract, 2year deal that we would own his bird rights to

Really wanted Jeremy Evans on a 2year vet min deal who signed with Dallas SF/PF with great length/athleticism as a SLAM DUNK CHAMPION that we should have targetted for risk/reward is a STEAL for continued development

I don't want to misrepresent things. This is the tweet Reichert was responding to.
