I think Birch will be a really good player. Wish the Knicks would bring him in. Reichert tweeted this vine of him getting the block and then finishing at the other end.

I like him a lot. I really hope we consider Birch for our Summer League team. He's more than just some pogo stick shot-blocker. He's got a real good feel for the game and can do some nice things. Definitely an NBA rotation big man...Also appears bigger than his listed 6'9" 209 size (looks more 220-230 to me)...So many good players down there...Look at what Bryce Cotton just did against Dallas. Utah made a hell of a move grabbing that kid. Rondo, Barea--these guys had a ton of trouble with Cotton.

NBDL website has Scotty Hopson as their #1 DL prospect right now. Another guy I've always liked. 6'7", smooth, excellent scorer--dude can just flat out make plays with the ball in his hands. Phil supposedly likes big guards that can make plays, right? Well this guy Hopson definitely fits that description. Looks like he's having one hell of a DL playoff run himself. I still can't believe he went undrafted a couple of years back. This dude's a starting caliber SG in the NBA imho. Might very well be a better, more advanced overall talent than Ricky Ledo...Here's hoping we stack our Vegas squad to the gills with promising young players like these (Birch, Hopson etc.) instead of the usual fodder.
