The Knicks and their media outlets have been trying to sell us a load of crap all season. From triangle to "change in culture," man, they'd have us believe that we are the greatest thing in sports. Another sell was Stymie -- the four year college guy who went Westchester D-league to show that he belongs in the NBA. I never bought it.

Sure, Stymie was a decent player, but after last night I have to say even the skeptics like me are convinced -- the guy belongs and can succeed in the NBA. Unfortunately for him the NBA is in the era of the point guard. CP3, Westbrick, John Wall, Rose...you know the names, all phenomenal and no way is Stymie on their level. But still he is a keeper. I like his style of point guard. I like his nature, too. Seems like a real down to Earth guy, hard worker, skilled player, team player. He may be our brightest star next year.

F..k Pete Sampras. Let him ride the bench behind Stymie if we can't get rid of Sampras's contract. Last night's win over the Hawks was obviously the highlight of the year, the year's most entertaining game, and a game that made us all look forward to next season with Stymie as our starting point guard.

Thanks, Nalod, for the picture.

People watch Knicks games and can't see that our point guard looks exactly like Stymie? I mean what are these people actually watching -- the way we play basketball?!?

Real sports fans never use the real players' names. They use other names:

Carmelo = Melo
Galloway = Stymie
Calderon = Pete Sampras
Lou = Thor
Larkin = Barry Larkin's kid
Lance = Lance "Can You Believe I Went To Duke?" Thomas
Ledo = Can't Read-o (if you don't know, Providence dropped him because of academic reasons)

Doesn't look like Stymie in any way, except perhaps skin color.

I would expect the choice of this nickname is done more to belittle than to serve as a term of endearment.

Looks more like this a younger version of this guy, and Smoove would be a pretty good nickname for a BB player.

I laughed quite a bit at this one.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Thanks for adding to the crap pile with your crap post, MrCrapHandle.

No one has seen an episode of Little Rascals in 20 years. I don't think your nickname is going to catch on unless he plays the next game in a bowler hat.

Uhhh, everybody loved Stymie. He was the coolest of the Little Rascals. When I call our point guard Stymie it is a term of endearment. I love both our point card and the little black kid with the bowler hat from the Little Rascals. Both are called Stymie. Both are beloved.
