WOW

Just so you are aware, the team with the best odds haven't received the #1 pick in 11 years.

Minnesota is set whoever they get. Towns, Okafor, and Russell are all great fits there, as they are here. Mundiay is obviously a wild card not knowing much about him. Only disadvantage of falling out of worst means we aren't guaranteed a top 4. But at #2 we still have an 88% chance of getting top 4 or something like that. Let's hope we don't have our usual luck.

Forget Nikko Bellic, I like the Dieng kid at center for the T-Wolves.

The roles that have been force upon these player have them overwhelmed. You keep five or six of these guys coming off your bench who are familiar with the system and watch the difference.

While many of you are still worrying about picks, the win last night builds confidence and trust among the current coaching staff and players.

Some of you are so understanding of the plight of the player.

I wish they were overwhelmed the last 2 games but like I said, I don't need EVERY ping pong ball, but
the fact that they had only won 15 games all year & then decide to win the last 3 stinking games?
I never said Fisher was a bad coach - he has nothing to coach, but he should be fired for not taking the hot hand out that Hawks game.

There's gonna be a lot of whining before the lottery, huh.

Nothing special, IMO.

Terrible offensive lineup in terms of the premium put on 3pt shooting in today's game. Your best 3pt shooter in the above group is shooting below 35%.

They would have to replace Pekovic with someone who could spread the floor for them.

Same is true if you substitute Dieng for Pekovic. You will be hoping that Towns could be a stretch 4, then.

Interesting group defensively, but on offense they would have some severe limitations.

Towns can be a stretch 4 at times. Check out the scouting report on him

Your attitude sucks, Guns. I get it: long-suffering Knicks fan refusing to consider anything but the eventual demise of all hope. But Minny has at BEST a 25% chance to land the #1 pick. The Knicks will have a damn good percentage, too.

Lottery is a random thing, even outliers have a shot at the #1 (read: Cleveland 3 out of 4 drafts?!?!)

Your pessimism is annoying.

Oh I'm sure there will be tons afterwards as well.

Rubio can't close a door or shoot from more than 2 ft out.
Pekovic gets hurt.

I heard Greg Oden was the next Shaquille Chamberlain.

Denver. Indy. Now Minny; yet another team for the poor, disgruntled, frustrated Somber Knick fan to root for.

See how long it takes them to get to the playoffs, now that they're "set".

The team with the worst record in the league hasn't gotten the first pick in the lottery since 2004. The team with the second worst record in the league has gotten the top pick once. The team with the ninth worst record has gotten the top pick twice in that same ten years.

It's a LOTTERY. Yes, odds are odds, but absolutely NOTHING is set in stone until the lottery ping pong balls are set.

How many times has the 3rd team won the lottery in span? If it's more than 2nd then I'm rooting for us to win and philly lose so we finish 3rd

We just sat through another **** season. the 10th in Dolan's 14 season of ownership, the Knicks are the 28th worst team during that period of time and have had the 2nd highest ticket prices of any NBA team.

We managed to win 2 meaningless games after tanking the season and it's possible now that we end up without a top 4 pick which is what this organization is basically been selling.

This is typical Knicks. Our attitude should suck. We rebuilt for one playoff series win only to rebuild again. Right now the knicks are on borrowed time again. They need to prove there is a reason to hope before anyone gives them the benefit of the doubt.

I know he has some shooting ability, and maybe even the range to hit a 3, but is that really where you would want him playing? As an opponent I would love to have him standing out deep chucking up 3s... in fact I would encourage him to do so.

I disagree with some folks around here- I see Towns as a center, even if it takes a few years, and that is where I would want him playing on the Knicks.

I just think that the starting 5 they would have with Towns (even with the Pekovic/Dieng substitution), assuming it is the one you listed, would be a bit clunky on the offensive end.

Twice.

6th place has won twice, too. 5th has won twice, too. This is just in the past ten lottos.

There's no real predicting it.

Though I do feel that the fact that Cleveland won first overall three years out of four after Lebron left was super fishy.

Knicks will get a good player. Hopefully it'll be Towns or Russell. We shall see.

But my point is - securing the worst record doesn't mean jack. You get the worst record, your highest chance at any one pick is 4th place.

Worst record - chance at pick:
1st pick - .250
2nd pick - .219
3rd pick - .178
4th pick - .357

Second worst record
1st pick - .199
2nd pick - .188
3rd pick - .171
4th pick - .319
5th pick - .123
