We all know one of the Knicks most glaring needs is getting a Rim Protector. If we can't find a way to draft one who helps us immediately and we can't trade for one why not take a look at a possible low cost gamble instead of offering a max contract to Deandre Jordan.

How about Bismack Biyombo. Here are some Facts about that guy:

- Just 22yrs old,

- very athletic Player

- Restricted Free Agent with low value on the market

- per36min: 9ppg, 12rpg (4,5off.), 3,0bpg; with 55% FG and 57% FT

- Ortg. 116 DRtg. 99 (via BKREF)

- On/Off-Numbers: On Court: 98,6 ORtg., 97,2 DRtg. Off Court: 97,8 ORtg., 101,5 DRtg.

- Opp. Shooting: Ranks Nr. 24 a Opp.FG% at the Rim (15mpg; more than 4 shots per game) with 47,1% that's better than Andre Drummond, Deandre, Ant. Davis, Robin Lopez);

- his Opp. shoot 42% from the floor (47% league avg.)

While he may not be in the same league with the best rim protectors he surely would be an upgrade over every Player we have right now and the numbers suggest that the Hornets play better with him on the court. Of course he is not great on offense, that's also why his usage is pretty low in CHA, he's not a passer or a good FT-Shooter (but also not a complete liability like DJ or Drummond) but CHA will not fight hard to keep him, maybe we can find here a Player for cheap who exactly fills one of our most glaring needs and we don't even have to give away a lot to get him.

Thoughts?

I like Biyombo, but I see him fitting in with the Knicks about as well as Samuel Dalembert did. Bismack's lack of passing and bad hands spell disaster in this offense.

Knicks he could be a good get. He always plays well when they put him in there--anyone we get --if were lucky up top--we still need defense and rebounding--and Biyombo would bring those things. If we get Okafor Biyombo would be a nice choice. I didnt even know hes a free agent?

He has a 5.5MM QO, but the Bobcats may be cap-strained with Jefferson's player option. If Jefferson opts out, they will likely match reasonable offers.

i prefer Ajinca on new orleans
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
