When I type in my zip code, it says that there are no blackout restrictions, but I'm guessing that all Knicks games are probably blacked out. The only reason I have cable is to watch Knicks games, but I would prefer to watch via League pass on Apple TV. Anybody got the skinny? I live in NYC

I recommend trying ballstreams. The cost is much less and you do not have blackouts based on geographic location. I use a roku but I would guess it would work with Apple TV. I am sure they could answer your questions. Ballstreams works by purchasing a time period. The best deals are 6 months for $60, or 12 months for $100. You can freeze your account so that you don't use up your subscription during the offseason.

It is fantastic. I watch it on a wired roku 3 with no lag issues ever and a roku 1 (wireless) that occasionally has lag issues. The roku 1 is on the bigger tv and gives me an hd feed which I no longer get since I changed my cable package so I choose it over traditional cable. It is in hd (720p). If you google it there is a lot of information about it including a great thread on clutchfans. I am pretty frugal but have no regrets spending the money for this. You can choose the home or away feed and watch games on demand. You can watch on demand games of ncaa teams and you can watch the tournament live. I also have watched games on my pc, phone and on a smartboard at work.

Anyone have an Amazon firetv? I am trying to decide between that and a roku 3.. I know roku is great but I am wondering if firetv might surpass them as the software catches up
