I am watching the TNT Game and it is Cleveland v Miami. There are three guys on Cleveland who are just killing it. A guy named JR Smith, Shumpert, and a big Russian named Mozgov. Having stellar games. Anybody ever hear of them? Know how Cleveland got them? Don't you think they could help the Knicks who are 14-61? Will Phil make a move for these guys in the off-season?

Hopefully we'll be adding players who are far better than any of them. That's the only way to look at it, cuz they're gone.

I could care less about Shumpert and Smith. Losing Mozgov still stings because oh how rare a talent like him is. Had we kept him, we might've had the opportunity to actually build a contender with the $14 million for Tyson Chandler.

We'll be adding players who are "far better than any of them"? Dude, you ain't up on current events. Cleveland is seated nicely for the playoffs and our guys are doing good deeds for the Garden Of Dreams. I know Phil is a nice guy but something tells me he'd rather be in the playoffs than at a bowling alley.

What exactly makes you think Phil is going to get "far better players" than Shump, JR, and Mozgov? We dropped those three guys and brought in Lance Thomas, Thor, and Stymie. Phil also dropped Tyson Chandler to bring in Sam Dalembert. Where are you getting this notion that Phil brings in "far better players"?

Weren't those three the guys who everyone blasted while they were knicks, but now that they're not knicks the same people praise them like gods even though they are exactly the same players they always were? That's really unusual on these boards.

I sure wish we'd kept them and won 8 more games- then we'd be looking forward to the number 8 draft pick, paying shump and an extra 6mil less in cap space (jr) - that would have been awesome. Now we have to settle for an extra 10 Mil in cap space and a top 4 pick- life is unfair!

Don't forget the hungover JR during the playoffs! I really miss that.

Mozgov was the one that got away! That sucked. But hey now, have you heard of this guy David Lee?or Zach Randolph? Or Trevor Ariza? Don't you think they could help the Knicks who are 14-61 too ?

^^^ This. Phil played the hand he was dealt, and set us up for a jackpot.

95% of players that leaves the Knicks play better somewhere else. Some players can handle the pressure, spotlight and night life....Some can handle the negative fans that troll knick sites. The guys that left clearly could not handle all of the above or understand how to perform in the triangle. On top of that, they would've hurt the tank goal of getting the #1 pick, and reduce the cap space for next season.

Everything turned out exactly the way it should've....Calderon might be the only hick-up! But thats minor when looking at the big picture.

Thank goodness JR is off the team. He is an awful chucker. Iman is possibly the most overrated knicks draft pick and that's saying something. Mozgoz I'd love to still have.

Great thread. Anyone ever heard of "Lebron, Love and Kyrie"?

Cleveland roster is far more balanced than ours.

......and , how those guys do when they were here????

As far as I can tell, Shumpert is the same low scoring wing who shoots a decent % from three every other year and Smith is the same dude who couldn't separate his partying from his on the court performance. I'm glad they're doing good in Cleveland, but they weren't working here. J.R. Smith as a fourth scoring option is good. Smith as second option is bad. Shumpert as a role player on a bench is good. Shump as a starter is bad. Mozgov stings, but it stings less and less. Still doesn't bother me as much as the Knicks trading an over the hill No Cheeks for Rod Strickland.
Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
Anybody Here Ever Hear Of Smith, Shumpert, and Mozgov?
