![]() if you think hes a 4 then that scares me. in todays game 4s are supposed to be stretch 4 that can hit mid range jumpers and space the court for guards. especially in the triangle u need a big who can hit jumpers. you cant go wrong with either okafor or towns but i prefer towns cuz he has more versatility in his game. he can post, shoot, foul shoot, defend and rebound.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

![]() Really have trouble going with OK4 or Towns, it really depends on who you pair them up with in addition to the system/team's talents
Justice Winslow and Mario Henzo Frank Kaminski/Willey Stein
Just so many possiblities and combos to have moving forward |

I agree, Tim Duncan was a Center that was able to play PF because they had a young versatile David Robinson, in addition to their combinations that complimented their defensive abilities, mobility/athleiticism/length/size and soft touch of both players and HIGH IQ/PASSING ABILITY/UNSELFISHNESS but we just cannot say that OK4 is PF, he is much closer to a Center at this point.... |

His jumper will get better and he will be one hard man to guard. We saw him in very limited space with 7 footers all over him in the back and guards hedging over him all weekend. I dont think he was very good this weekend no matter what but Ive seen enough of him. I know he needs to pick it up a bit on the D get his body tighter(maybe 10 pounds less?) but he has innate skills. RIP Crushalot😞

I agree with you and I felt that he just did not seem to be all in. No fire. And, I don't think that he was getting so many hard doubles and triple teams. so here is what phil is thinking ....

His terrible FT shooting is alarming as well. so here is what phil is thinking ....

He dominated them in their first game--we'll see how his body reacts. Im not going to doubt a big dude like that with all the attention he gets as freshmen is wearing him a tad now. RIP Crushalot😞

![]() Why can't he just be a 5 that we cross-match on defense, next to a shotblocker?

![]() OKa4 is clearly a very polished offenisve force. Gonzaga threw some big boys at him and I liked when he passed out. This is a big kid with great footwork and fundamentals.
At 19 both him and Towns are still teenagers. anthony Davis now just 21 was starting to show his potential after growing into the league. These kids get injured and need to fillout. But they won't. I trust either will be just fine and can't say without a good youtube with the proper soundtrack which one I like better. |

A lot of it will depend on matchups and what we come up with to put next to an Okafor or Towns (hopefully we're lucky enough to get either guy--I don't wanna sound presumptuous. We're gonna need some good luck for a change to get either guy even finishing with the worst record). Look at STAT -- He had his best year for us that 1st year primarily playing the 5. Just looking at him and what type of player he is (was), technically he's a PF but he excelled playing 5 on that team (mainly because we wanted to make room for other guys in the lineup -- Gallinari, Wilson Chandler...Then once we got Tyson, the prototypical 5, the plan was to have STAT shift back over to 4. Then STAT suffers injuries, starts coming off the bench, is never the same after awhile anyway and the rest is history...How 'bout this -- suppose we got Okafor and insisted on still using Melo at 4 (I don't care for that but the Knicks seem to like it). Then the frontcourt lineup could likely be Okafor 5, Melo 4 and Early or someone else we come up with at 3. Or, we come up with another big C type that could shift everyone over a spot and bump Melo to 3. It depends on who they get in FA or trade and what they envision--what positions others will play and what other personnel we come up that we'd want to put next to Okafor. I think he's big enough to play either position. Like Towns, Okafor may not be done growing as well. Also, on the defensive end, he may matchup better against some 5s -- do we want him playing Tyson Chandler and trying to keep him off the glass or trying to guard Dirk Nowitzki? |

![]() Can't go wrong with either OK4 or Towns. With OK4 I think he's tailored made for the strong side triangle post position. He'd be in the Shaq role basically. Get low and close to the basket and force teams to have to cover too much distance on Defense. The spacing in the NBA is better than college. OK4 can anchor an offense. With Towns he'd be functional on offense but i'm not sure he'd be able to hold his position in the post as easily in the NBA. He'd have to move around a bit more and try to catch defenses off guard. KAT would be able to anchor our defense tho so it's good wither way. We'd be good with either player.
