J.R. Smith has had the biggest Box Plus-Minus improvement of all the players traded this season as he's become a critical part of the Cleveland Cavaliers success following his arrival from the New York Knicks.

Smith had a -4.3 BPM with the Knicks and +3.4 with the Cavaliers for a difference of +7.7.

Enes Kanter ranks second with a +5.9 difference since arriving to the Oklahoma City Thunder from the Utah Jazz. The Jazz have also benefitted from his absence as it has given more minutes to Rudy Gobert.

Will Barton, Mo Williams, Anthony Tolliver, Ramon Sessions, Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert, Tarik Black and Goran Dragic round out the top-10.

Overall, the Heat have the best Trade Score at 6.10, ahead of the Charlotte Hornets at 5.90 and Cavaliers at 5.10. The

Brandon Knight has had the biggest drop since being traded, going from +2.3 with the Milwaukee Bucks to -4.0 with the Phoenix Suns. The Bucks replaced Knight's +2.3 with a -2.0 from Michael Carter-Williams and they have struggled since the trade.

The Dallas Mavericks are also one of the losers of in-season trades as Rajon Rondo has struggled and they also lost the production of Brandan Wright.

The Bucks have the worst Trade Score at -4.30 with the Mavericks ranking next to last at -3.70.

Oh so it's Melo's fault again. So let's give Melo the credit for when JR got the 6th man of the year award.

I said as much it early on, Melo clearly isn't the leader that LeBron has become, but we're talking about LeBron James here. Melo went out this season on a bad note, I wouldn't be averse to seeing him moved for younger, healthier players, but Im not going to compare him to the second best player of all time. That kind of a pedigree will get malcontents to straighten up and fly right. Melo doesn't have it, but neither does anyone else in the league.

I don't know about you guys but I really don't care to much for JR Smith. He is being model player in Cleveland if he were here he would be hanging in clubs drinking getting high and what not. That is not a professional player.

Melo isn't as good as LeBron and is a poor leader- doesn't mean he's trash though. How does JRs +- compare with the 54 win season? How is it Melo's fault if it was good that year but bad this season?

He was +1.3 that year, Smackeddog, which is good but well below this year with Lebron.

Are we to believe that all other variants are equal such as supporting cast?..Kyre Irving, KLove, Thompson and Mozgov have no bearing on these numbers?

I thought this was attempted humor..

A bad attempt at humor....the cleve roster is better than any roster JR played on in NY. But lets not let all the facts get in the way of his argument.

I think this simply further illustrates the well known fact that JR Smith has a helluva lot've basketball talent that he can unleash when properly motivated. It has zero to do with Melo vs Lebron which is a silly debate anyway which absolutely nobody even the biggest Melo fanboy would ever try to argue for with a straight face.

Melo is a great scoring small foward he'll help you win games on a good team ... Just like kyre Irving is a great scoring guard and on a good team he'll help you win games... These players are important to have on contending teams but put them on garbage teams they'll still put up numbers but they don't have the leadership or passing ability to make everyone better...

Lebron is a great pg stuck in a small foward body ... He sets up his teammates beautifully and when you have the teammates of bosh, wade,Ray Allen, or a kyre, love, mosgov,jr,Marion, ect that also gives Lebrun the edge over most of the talented playersin this league..

Even when we won 54 games melo had Felton(yuck),brick city shump, old man Kidd, amare was on the ir most of the season and a always over rated Tyson , smith as the second best player on the team...

So to say melo can't make his team better well look at his supporting cast ? Compared to Levon's supporting cast its not even comparable ..

The real proof will be next season say we strike gold with the number 1 pick and land 2 free agents
And if melo won 54 games with that 2013 bandaid roster let's see what he can do with a Lebrun like roster ... And the list can go on and on with different 2016 starting 5 our roster could potentially look like this next year

Oak4
Milsap
Melo
Butler (steal from chi town)
Shved (huge upgrade from Felton via 2013)

We are getting a top three pick fingers crossed number one pick and more cap space then most teams... This is Melos first time in his entire career to build a Lebron super team ... And if you think top free agents don't want to play with melo,ok4 or towns in the media Mecca of basketball with 11 champ Phil running the show and former president of the players union in fisher as coach think again !

The Knicks will be contending for a championship next year... Phil dose not have a hard sell to top free agents.. Win a championship in a knick uniform with melo, top pick and become immortalized in history..if Phil gets two top free agents he will already one up lebron by starting a 4 headed monster.. we already have a decent bench lebron never had in Miami .and have shveds bird rights ..

my money is on melo winning a championship soon with ny and Phil building a team melo has been dreaming of next year..

Melo would look amazing next to bosh and wade or kyre, love,jr,mosgov and melo would be playing for a championship every year.. Lebron is spoild with talented rosters its Melos turn...

people questiond weather Kobe could make his teammates better after Shaquille left la .. Kobe's team struggled until gasol,Bynum, odom dynasty was built im sure Phil played a huge role in building that..

lebron might be able to set up his superstar teammates beautifully ... Melo can score even easier with superstar teammates and help them get more open looks .

Melo is a star you need a few of them to win a championship these days and until next year it's best to hold your tongue on weather melo makes his teammates better until he gets better teammates..

I'd love to see what lebron could do with Lou,smith,thomas,Galloway,ledo,Larkin,brags... My bet is a top 3 pick in next years draft is the best lebron could do.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that LeBron's +- has also improved since JR joined Cleveland..I think Cleveland went from a touch better than .500 team to going 28-6? after JR, Shump and Moz joined..Could that some how effect those numbers?

The team went from LeBron running time outs to the coach looking like an NBA caliber coach..

Great point. Jr was at his best in 2012/2013 as Melos sidekick. By this logic, the Melo vs lebron argument goes to Melo, seeing how the player in this example was at his best with Melo, and recognized by the nba for it. This thread was doomed from the start.

Carmelo and Bron are two different type of players. Bron is much better by million of miles
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
