Man I cant believe a lot of you guys sitting there talking like H20 is done. The guy had surgery on his knee and rushed back to play - so what - he needs more time off. I have heard a lot of announcers proclaim that on average it takes about 18 months to get back to 100% after having knee surgery. The docs think H20 will be back and I agree. That goes for CWebb too. These guys are far from done. Why is it that everyone is calling out these guys and saying they are finished when they still have plenty of potential to come back at 100%.

Personally I would rather see H20 roaming the court at MSG alongside Marbs then trading for or offering money to Jamal Crawford - he has yet to prove ANYTHING on a team full of talent. H20 will be back, mark my words.

who said Houston was done?

but when it's being reported that his knee will never really be fully back at 100% (& Allan Houston admitted as much last season during his rehab), why should people think he's going to be back at 100% next season? that's not the same as saying he's finished though...i think he'll be a 16-17 ppg type scorer for the rest of his career due to the reduced minutes he's going to get to save wear & tear on his knees...that's not the same Houston that averaged over 20 ppg in his prime though.

I don't think Houston is done but I sure feel that he has maybe this season or next to be the Houston we know.....

All great shooters turn into Dell Curry. That's not bad but if Dell is your starter you are in trouble.

It was sad to see Mitch Rich when he went to LA. Glen Rice was terrible after he left LA. Geez look at Reggie Miller now. It's terrible to watch.

Allan is going down that road.....Ray Allen is not just a jumpshooter he can actually play another position on the court. Ray can actually drive with the best of them and dunk with the best of them.

Houston complains he doesn't get enough lift on his jumpshot....so much he'd rather watch the Nets tear his team apart without so much as a peep. Houston is how old? 33.....say he comes back strong....so he'll be good for 2 more seasons? Who is to say he won't break down again? If he does the Knicks are instantly in trouble.

Crawford....he's 24 in 3 years he will be 27.

Allan Houston can't even touch rim right now. We cannot rely on him anymore. If he's healthy enough to contribute, great! If not, no big deal. We should go into this summer and next season as if H20 is not here. That is why Jamal Crawford becomes a priority this summer along with an athletic PF.

This is what I am talking about - have you seen him lately to confirm this? Yeah sure, the knicks could use some youth in all departments - along with talent at the PF position...what team doesnt need this that had less than 40 wins last season???

http://www.greenwichtime.com/news/local/scn-gt-kicks3jun26,0,685357.story?coll=green-news-local-headlines

After missing more than 30 games last season with a left knee injury, New York Knicks guard Allan Houston confided to a group of Greenwich students yesterday that his knee is still tender.

"I can't touch the rim right now," the 6-foot-6-inch Houston said, pointing to his knee and begging off of one student's request.

Jamal Crawford or another capable scoring SG becomes priority number one. I know we need a PF but Kurt Thomas is somewhat productive. Shandon Anderson gives us nothing at SG.

I am happy to see what Sweetney can offer in the PF position- he showed signs- and PF is not a skill position- look at the 80's lakers- they had Kurt Rambis- and the Jordan Bulls with Grant & Rodman - role players everyone of them-

Crawford has talent- is 24 and can turn into something

Crawford's already putting up 17 / 5 / 3 at 23 years of age last year...that's worth the MLE in itself...anything more would be bonus, & he has tremendous upside potential...you can't go wrong signing this kid to a full MLE imho.

I'd take Crawford right now over at least half the guys who were drafted in the lottery this summer. Because Crawford is so young, getting him would be like obtaining a good lottery pick.
