![]() So basically you have the owner, GM, team president, or whomever, calling up their coach and telling them they have to sit down your 3 best players for no real reason?
If you are not in a playoff run, you might as well stagger the days they get off- you achieve the same thing. For what it is worth, though, they are doing it against a team they would probably lose to anyway (Although you expect Melvin Hunt would have been interested to see what he could do against a superior team given Denver's recent streak of good ball.) and they are doing it in Memphis, where they won't disappoint their own fans. If they were doing it against Minnesota and they were playing in Denver, I could see Denver fans really being pissed off. Three Questions: 1) Does anyone know if there are any stats about whether teams are more likely to rest players when they are away from home; 2) Does the quality of their opponent matter in any way? 3) Are playoff teams more likely to rest groups of 2, 3, or even 4 players at one time?
