That's a bricklayer of a backcourt- neither of them can shoot. All teams would have to do would be pack the paint. Would you prefer Russell and Schved? Do they complement each other (haven't watched enough of Russell)
I think Russell's transistion game is too slow for the NBA.....Eventually, any team that drafts him, will have to pair him with a fast PG. Then Russell will have the issue of guarding SG. Russell is a tweener right now....It's up to him to decide if he wants to improve his quickness and be a PG or increase his strength to guard SG.
This is why Mudiay has always been ahead of Russell....Because he has the NBA body to guard SG's and quickness to guard PG. Russell is a shifty player that needs the right system to shine. In the right system, he could be a beast....But what system is that?
I like Russells half court game.....But I like Mudiays transistion game. Both players have their pros and cons. Russell has been inconsistant lately, but we'll see what he does in the tourney!
