![]() These guys just so happen to be spot on.
You join a company because of the leadership and vision in place. You pick a team on ownership and fit. The Knicks have the worst ownership in the entire sport. No track record or history of winning. They are one of the NBA's worst teams over the past 15 years. We have gone through multiple GM's, Coaches and turned over the roster over and over again. You have a coach that's unproven, a general manager that to date has executed absolutley nothing. He got buried in his first trade and didn't get get anything in his second. So what's our pitch right now, we are going to put Phil in a room and let him talk about his championship rings? That works whne you're Pat Riley and have built the Knicks, made the heat a contender twice and are recruiting stars, but South Beach is a place guys want to live and they aren't getting crushed on taxes and in the media. Here it is... We have Tim Hardaway junior a guy that can't defend and doesn't understand how to play the game. A veteran point guard that can't penetrate and will be on the roster next season. One of the best scorers in the league coming off a knee injury on the wrong side of 30. We have a top 3 draft selection coming in, major unknown, but you could get excited if you're a free agent to play with Okafur or Towns. You pitch NYC, didn't work last time, but that's what you got. Be a star, be the first to win a championship in 40 + years... Gasol do you want to leave a great team in a city you and your family grew up in? Kevin do you want to leave Lebron and Kyrie to be the man in NYC? Aldridge you have a great team in place with a dynamic young point guard. Maybe you peak his interest in being a major star, more endorsements, but you could just as easily go to the Lakers. Kobe off the cap you're the guy in LA. I just don't see it either. Someone always takes the money, but we can't afford to have someone like Amare take the money or pick up an option only to amnesty the player. We are in a position right now if you miss on the player and on the pic, fans not taking the garbage they have been getting. |

Love is having a terrible time in Cleveland and is perfect for the triangle. Aldridge is stuck in Portland Oregon getting zero recognition for his good play. I think both guys are hungry for the bigger city bigger spot light. We do have a star in Carmelo.. If we draft a ok4,towns,russell paired with Melo and say a love, milsap,or Aldridge..and go after some second tier FA we will contend in the east for sure |

Love is a possibility but I don't think he leaves Cleveland. If he does I think he goes to LA before NY.CrushAlot wrote:Miller is right. The Knicks aren't going to get Gasol, Aldridge, or Love. NYC is where careers come to die. I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!

![]() If you look at it negatively and have enough people believe it and continue to joke about it then it seems like it's the truth.

![]() If you look at the team with melo in a cast, Barg's as team MVP and Fish stoic stance with the first to 50 gang b-lining TankHood
its good talking points. This will be a momentum play. First we need some ping pong balls. Hope that Monroe is man enough to join Melo and Russell as the new Triangle Zen Warrior. Im counting on Top three picks. I know we can drop to 4 but the gods can't be that cruel. We draft big, its not about next year. if Melo wants out and don't want to be part of the rebuild, we can fix him up, showcase him and bid him out. Nalod not all into the "big ass summer" as starphuchers will have it. This is a 3 year plan so Im not gonna get pissy for another 2 years. Build it right no matter how long it takes. Im a fan of that, not the starphuch. Keep cap open and build assets. Opportunities will arise and then we can be prepared. |

They just have to choose the right players. No way Aldridge or Gasoline leave, but Love wouldn't surprise me. My issues are: it's nothing to do with the knicks- most free agents will stay with their teams because they like playing for those teams. Overpaying has always been the only shot at getting players to leave. Why make it a thing about the knicks? We're not the centre of the universe. Also Phil is going to get blasted, but I don't see how it's his fault- most of the free agents are off the menu because they're happy where they are and can get payed more or are restricted- what's he supposed to do? |
