its from hoopsworld so i doubt it will ever come true
Word from New York this week was the Mavs traded for Stackhouse to ultimately make a deal with New York returning Kurt Thomas. A Finley-Walker deal would require Dallas returning a lot of contracts, but if New York wants to deal, Dallas seems ready…
doubt it will happen but interesting

If I read that right, we are looking at acquiring Michael Finley? I'd much prefer him to Stack. Fin Dawg's a little bigger and a better shooter. He gets banged up, but this is a guy that scored 18+ ppg on a stacked offensive team last year and a guy who has shot 45%+ in his career despite playing a lot on the perimeter. In addition he can give you 5 rebs and 4 assists out of the SG or SF position and is an 80% FT shooter. His contract may be large, but he's only a year older than Stack. Really, if we get Finley and Walker for expring deals, KT and maybe TT, that'd be sick, but there's no way Dallas does it if they are looking for Chips to move to LA.
But it is Hoopsworld, so its a lot of excitement over nothing...

I'd take a healthy Finley over a hurt Houston in half a heartbeat....
Fin is a great defender, he's one of those best players not to be an All-Star type of guys....If we have to take Walker back, so be it...(is there any way we can take Howard and Pavel instead?) Seriously....that is a lineup with some heavy artillery...

We can't keep taking on big contracts. Houstan is believed to return and we only need an effective backup. Houstan, Penny and Fin/Stack would be like 45million for one position.
I believe we sign and trade for sheed. We use KT as the anchor of any deal.
