so we can be in position to get something out of the draft. 2nd round pick are cheap 300,000--400,000K we have no idea who will slip but there are alwasy goodies up in the first few picks of round 2.

i think its possible MSG is on a total spending freeze. if thats the case we are who we are for awhile.

Dolan said a while back Isiah had $$$ to do what he needs... but anything is possible. This draft looked very good until 30 underclassmen bugged out last week. Now its so deep you have teams that have been draft focused in the past selling lottery picks for nothing.

There looks like 4-5 nice players here.. after that it looks pretty weak, unless you want a star PG that cant bench 130 pounds (once).

I think the team we can get a pick from is SA's #28. They wont want the guarenteed deal a first rounder gets. I could see something like $2mm and our #2 for the #28.

My guess is that Dolan told Isiah he has X dollars to work with this summer however he wants to. And Isiah realizes that using 20% or whatever it takes of that amount on a 1st rounder in a weak draft is a poor use of that money. I could be wrong, but I don't expect Isiah to trade up in this draft
we should atleast move up to 32
