ESPN reports that the mavs have traded Antwan Jamison to the wiz for the 5th pick in the draft...

Man cuban has a way of fleecing other teams..

the wizzards have jeffries, stack and Hughes, what is the deal with Jamison... Maybe since the best available players after the first two picks will be guards the wizzards didn't see a need to keep the pick..

if the wizards are healthy they have a tremendously talented squad, with gilbert arenas, stakhouse, antwan, kwame and haywood. and hughes as 6th man or u can simply move antwan to pf and stack to sf and have kwame play c.

I can't believe they got rid of Stackhouse and Laetner. My god. Wiz did good for themselves. Jamison has a big contract but he's still in his prime. Unlike the 2 guys they traded.

Dallas now has...Dirk,Walker,Stackhouse,Finley,Howard,Nash (will be re-signed)Daniels and #5 pick..I can def see them getting Shaq now.

Jamison is good... thats a killer deal for Wash. Im getting the feeling this draft really sucks. Pho gave their pick away for crap because they didnt think they could get an impact player at #7.. this from a team thats draft consious and has done an excellent job in recent years.

no, they have to many young players IMHO and have done a great job of moving a tremendous amount of cap room out. right now they could sign kobe and steve nash, thats how much room they have now.

right... and they will be lucky to overpay for Dampier and Steven Jackson. Give me a break... if they sign Kobe and Nash I will eat my words, but they wont.

To many young players?!?!? How can you call that deal good for them? Give me a break... why not get Jamison like Wash did? Now they get squat

not sure how anyone whose brain is attatched to their spinal column can say washington didn't get an AWESOME deal here. Hmmmmmm. a 20/10 forward, sixth man of the year in his prime locked up for the next 5 or 6 years for 2 pieces of shot and a meaningless draft pick. yeah, cuban really fleeced them. Washington so obviously got the better end of this deal, I'm not sure how you can have a world view that could dispute this. This is something Osama Bin Laden, Newt Gingrich and Nelson Mandela could all agree on.

I don't think it's that hands down. Jamison is a good scorer but not a 10rpg type guy, and I wouldn't say he'll play well with Arenas. Arenas is a shoot-first PG who dominates the ball, and Jamison needs the ball to create shots.

They dealt a 20 ppg scorer and got one back, and dealt away the 5th pick in the draft just for the heck of it? WAS gave up a little too much just to get a guy like Jamison. Washington's still a lottery team, this definitely doesn't put them near a .500 team.

Jamison may be a 20/10 guy but he doesn't impact the game on defense like many other 20/10 guys do.

damn Stack for Kurt...I'd love that. Evwen if it's just to use Stack as trade bait!

Damn! and Stack's only makes about 7mil and his contract is up after 2006-07!!

Are you sure thats a possibility? Sounds to good to be true.

How's this for an atheletic run and gun offense:
C-Sweetney
PF-TT
SF-Stack
SG-H20
PG-Steph

could go with Tim Thomas off the bench and start Sweetney and Nazr

and if Houston isn't right then

PG:Steph
SG:Stack
SF:TT
PF:Sweetney
C-Nazr or Dampier

Washington has Kwame still right? So does that mean he is gone?

Dallas has way too many shooting guards so what they heck is going on over there?

I think this trade screwed both teams up. Something else has to be brewing.

The NBA is truly in a transition.

Washington did ok in the trade...so did Dallas. Looking at it from Washingtons perspective they just drafted Jamison and I think they believe that no draft pick was that intriuging at #5. Stackhouse has injured (knee) and grumpy last season and is in no way the player he once was. Laettner was not going to contribute, so they really didn't give up that much.

I have to disagree with the KT for Stack trade. Why would we want to add another Max $ injured shooting guard to the mix?
