Question...do you know someone with the name "knickabocka4life"? If you do, how reliable is he. He just posted something I was pretty glad to see.

You can tell from the principles involved in his deal that the guy is a complete fraud. Kurt Thomas, Othella Harrington and Moochie Norris? What team in the NBA would want those 3 players in a package for anything?

imo its not all that ridiculous...theres othella's expiring contract and kurt (who dallas has said they want to get)

it also seems as tho dallas wants to get rid of walker and portland has randolph at the 4, maybe they feel like they can fill the backup with kurt for less than they would with shareef.

I used to post there a lot, until people started leaving. I don't remember that poster in particular. He rarely posted. I don't believe that one bit though, b/c Portland can do a lot better than that. And notice that most of the available guys are from Indiana. Take it with a grain of salt.

anybody who works in the league office wouldn't bother taking the time out to post on a fan message board imo...i'd put as much validity to what he is saying as i would any other poster who posts a trade idea.

a low level employee (somebody's 25 year old assistant) who is also a fan could/would post on the boards. (i'm not saying the guy's not a lying sack of shot...but a low level employee who is also a fan MIGHT post on boards...its not out of the realm of possibility) It takes close to a year to become completely disillusioned and stop being a fan. I also want to go on record as saying Othella takes too much shot on these boards. He plays hard and has a small ending contract, he's worth far more to the knicks in trade scenarios than Houston, Penny, or Fugazee.
