according to the fan boards on espn.com, theres a bunch of posters saying espn radio is talking bout trading houston to portland for shareef and patterson. Let it be known I have no idea about the truth to this.

Thats what I thought too...too bad I wasnt listening to espn radio so I would have more info...but heres one of the posts on this

http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/nba/request.dll?MESSAGE&room=nba_nyk&id=373352

Those boards are too disorganized to actually understand alot of it.

I like. One thing that Houston would add to Porland is a guy who can stretch the floor for the likes of Zach.

The ESPN boards are unreliable and full of trolls. They make stuff up all the time. I wouldn't trust this rumor until I heard it from a more relable source

If true that would be awesome and a tremendous amount of cap relief (at least flexibility wise).

Guys don't believe this, the guy who posted this rumor also posted that Shaq has just been traded to the bobcats. This guy is known for making stuff up on the Knicks board.

the most ridiculous thing about the espn post, is that the guy then says he hopes it doesn't happen. If we threw in every second rounder for the next decade, we'd still be getting a steal.

you think Portland is maybe using the Knicks and this rumor to beef up their deal with the Nets?

Guys this isn't even a rumor, some troll on the ESPN forums just made this up. He also said that Shaq was traded to the Bobcats. Just forget about it...

That looks like a retarded post. The trade makes no sense for Portland who can probably get a player who will:
a) stretch the floor with good shooting
b) play defense
c) rebound (atleast 4 a game)
d) get assists
e) drive the ball
f) not be injuerd all the time

All of this for cheaper than $20 million which will kill their already destroyed cap space. In short, no one will be stupid enough to take Houston's contract just for his shooting.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
