if we are not making a move to get size length athletsicm and speed--attempting to get younger at the same time--then we are better off with no moves and not spending the $

what has Isiah done so far? Lampe was the only youth he gave up on. He said we wanted to get younger, faster and more athletic. Out goes Ward, Eisley, McDyess, KVH, Spoon, Doleac (he will be back). In comes Tim Thomas, NAzr, Marbury, Penny, Dermaar Johnson and Vin Baker. OK, I'm not doing cartwheels for all of them but clearly he's sticking to what he said. Penny is a great player off the bench because he can play 3 position. Nazr is tradebait, Baker wont be back, and Dermaar showed flashes but needs to get off the Kate Moss diet.

We will really know what by what he does in the next 8 months, between this offseason and the next trading deadline.

Briggs, what about Walker? You were crying over not making the Rahim/Ratliff trade, but if we want to make a deal like that come Feb then Walkers is EXACLTY the type of asset we need to accomplish that. Now if we get Walker are you going to moan about our rag tag team with no style of play, or can you be patient enough to see what Isiah does with a great asset like that come next season?

I completely agree. We also have to start bringing in solid defenders. Blount, Etan Thomas, Stro Swift, Chris Wilcox, S Jackson, and even Andre Iguodala are the guys I'm hoping we go after.

I would cut Shandon Anderson and eat his contract if he doesn't agree to a buyout.

We need to get into the first round of this draft and develop more youngsters.

They didn't give up any speed when they gave up Lampe.

We're ****ed thanks to Layden. We could've been in the market for some of thehuge names out there right now. I would've loved to have Shaq but I'd definitely settle for Kobe. Hopefully the deal with Nike will make him come to NY for the MLE.

Checketts shares in the blame:

1) He was the one who decided to trade Ewing rather than let his contract expire;
2) He promised Houston the max contract;
3) He hired Layden.
