TBH - running the triangle might really make the most use of our $$$ as we are looking for players often overlooked by other teams, in part anyway.

More likely, Calderon’s fate hinges on whether Knicks president Phil Jackson decides to use the stretch provision on him and waive the 34-year-old playmaker to save $4.4 million in cap space for 2015 and $4.7 million in 2016.

If Jackson waived Calderon after Sept. 1, only 2016 can be used for a stretch provision.

Don't you have to wait a year until you can have a permanently injured players salary wiped off the cap? At least thats what I remember.

To be honest, the stretch provision pretty much wipes out his salary- $3mil isn't too much to overcome.

Knowing our luck he has torn the achilles! I expect them to announce it today!
