I, too can take a wide open, undefended, twelve foot shot in garbage time and clank it off the back of the rim.

You obviously don't know a thing about Shved.

I dont know if Shved can play, but he certainly cant shoot. Thats something he hasnt done in any season so far in the NBA. Not a good sign for a shooting guard.

He's just trying to provoke folks- all of his posts in this thread have been designed to do this. Would not pay him much attention.

we were much better in rebounding overall, beating them 50-47 so its an improvement.

Of course, once Melo comes back in an impossible recovery, Early stops playing like a bitch, Shved all of a sudden goes off and starts putting up all star caliber numbers and Jason Smith/Bargs turn into two way players

It hasn't worked for him in the NBA yet, but the dude can shoot the ball. Take a look here: http://basketball.realgm.com/player/Alexey-Shved/Summary/2320. Scroll down toward the bottom for his 2011-12 Russian numbers. Dude shot 41.5% from 3 in 62 total games that season. Not only that, just looking at the guy, the naked eye tells me he can shoot it. I wouldn't write this dude off -- Jeremy Lin went undrafted and then took awhile to make it in the NBA. Nobody thought he could play a lick. Shved's had more of a chance initially and true he hasn't set the world on fire, but I still like his talent. Anyone can see the dude had talent and good intangibles. Let's see.

I would be much more worried about this guy's D, than his offensive game. We will see how his style of play meshes with the Triangle.

He might also need more regular minutes to get into a shooter's rhythm. I thought he had a decent stretch with Minny when he was filling in for Rubio.

Has to play strong on the defensive end, though, or he won't get the minutes to get his shot in sync.

I read somewhere that he has always shot really well in international play but hasn't transferred that skill to the nba.

Right now the Knicks do not have one consistent performer. Not 1 player is reliable other than Melo.

I would be very aggressive trying to bring in interior players in this draft. This way we can start over by having players who can get higher % looks and some rim protections and rebounding.

This team has to start over. Ill take any PG If Gary Payton JR came into this draft and fell out of the top 60 Id pick him up and would give him opportunity to start on this team because he can defend dish and rebound. IF we can get defense at the rim and on the ball if we can get someone quick with the ball and a slew of 6-10 players who can finish--we'll get better faster. I look at this roster and really is terrible. Lets see if one player can play 3 good games in a row over the last 27.

I actually do and what you said about Shved in an earlier post is spot on:
"He's no star but he can play the game."
I agree.
