On the Cavs they can move to lesser roles. Good for them that they are having success in Cleveland. That's no reason to trash what we're looking to do here. The Cavs have a complete team and we're rebuilding ours. Sounds stupid to go off on what we're doing and trying to compare situations. There's no comparison. We're in totally different stages of development.
Papabear Saysthere is no way in the next 4 years we will build a team ready to compete for a championship. Mistake number 1 if you want to build the triangle and you know your player can't play in that system, you just play them in the system that they are good in and build up thier value and trade them for something instead of a bag of shells. A lot of players do not like the triangle because it hampers their skill set. These young guys today like the run and gun system. Good Luck with it.
When we played run and gun with D'Antoni- how helpful was that when it came to recruiting players? When we used to play run and gun all people used to say was you can't win with that system.
The triangle will be tweaked depending on who we land in the offseason- we didn't tweak it this year because we weren't keeping most of our players (or winning) so it made more sense to try and establish the basic system and see who could pick it up.
It all depends on who we draft and sign- it's going to be tough, but save the doom until after July.
