February 17, 2015 | 01:44 PM ET Update I think they are keeping a hole card, just in case. I expect Greg Smith to be waived to make room for Stoudemire. So Bernard James can stay in the open roster spot that he now occupies. If Jermaine O'Neal decides to jump into action, the Mavericks could make room via Ricky Ledo. I agree with you that you simply cannot have enough big men in the Western Conference. If you run into the Clippers, Grizzlies or Blazers in an early round, you're going to need that extra bulk. And those six extra fouls. I'm not a Larry Sanders fan at all. Kanter would cost too much and really, after that you're talking about guys that would not be heavy lifters. Jermaine, if he's fully committed and in basketball shape, would be a palatable option. Dallas Morning News - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.z4AywtkJ.dpuf

Greg Smith was solid, prior to the knee injuries. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a tryout.

Yup. I like him a lot. Very good rebounder.
