He's annoying because he's s free agent after this year. So if he feels that way then he has an opportunity to do it.

The triangle would put him in a situation where team ball is emphasized. Maybe after dealing with this Cleveland situation, maybe he would put it on the line to come here to play with Melo. It's an unlikely situation but at the same time there is an outside chance that this could happen.

Now if you have Melo and Lebron on the same squad, running the triangle with fisher as the coach and Phil in the stands. That's an amazing situation to be in. The Knicks still need more players bit were in a good position to do it. Sigh
