Our offense compared to the best teams is just brutal with a differential of 12-18 points. We need guys in the post who can score--forget about this big man needs a mid range jumpshot BS--we need a guy we can throw the ball into and he can score at a good % which will help our perimeter players with better looks. I really do not know what they were thinking with Lou Admundson--in a day where the 4 position flat out needs to score--this guy still cant hit an open jumper at age 32. We have a bunch of guys shooting below 40% or close to it. I think help starts in the post --it really does.

The thinking on my part is be aggressive in this draft and maybe go for 2-3 big guys who can play and then maybe spend "some" of our cash on the perimeter

Who cares about our ranking on offence and defines this year? Only 5 or 6 players will remain- we're just looking for minimum salary bench players at this point.

the triangle requires well-conditioned, heady athletes who can defend the position and move without the ball relentlessly. the midrange shot is making a comeback. the contested midrange shot is a ow-percentage shot, but the triangle is meant to create open looks from midrange. holzman taught jackson and those championship knick teams to "find the open man."

drafting okafor may turn into a big mistake-- reports say he is not well-conditioned and is a sub-standard defender.

Yeah Shaq was running around the mid court range:) You need post players I dont care what the system is called. You need to be able to throw the ball into the post.

no, briggs. come on man. who are the knicks going to resemble in your imagination, the lakers with wilt or russells' celtics? which teams usually won? and when the knicks beat the lakers twice for their two only titles, who did those knicks resemble more, the team they beat or the team that beat them before we beat them? and what style of ball do you think jackson wants to play?

all that said i'll give you this: when shaq became a great passer he started leading his teams to titles. shaq's passing in his prime was an overlooked skill he developed.

Im not worried about Shaq's passing or any triangles. What we need are some good players. We are really far away from winning right now. We need to find good players and create a winning environment over time. Good players will win games--by the time we have enough Phil Jackson will be long gone from the Knicks.
