Its been talked about how we would like to see if Phil can trade for another #1 and buy a 2nd rounder--but who would you want from 18-27 and 32-45

Try to be realistic about it--obviously Russell is not falling to 18 etc..

Willie Cauley-Stein if he falls to 18+...I guess unlikely.

Jerian Grant - PG in the mid to late 1st round.

2nd rounder..How about Dakari Johnson

I agree with you in Grant and Johnson. I'd take Grant even if we selected Russell. Johnson is the type of project we need to take risks on. Raheem Christmas is another guy i'd take a look at along with Justin Anderson and Delon Wright.

Stein is a studs dude; he will not be around past the 6th pick. I guaranty it.

It all depends on who we select with our lotto pick.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

This year is strange with all of the talented bigs. We have zero contracted big players on the roster. I'd love for us to walk out with either Russell and someone down below that BIG or even two bigs.

We think alike my man. I hope and pray we can finally get on track. We are due for success.

Under what conditions would a team sell/trade a pick in the 18-27 range?

Are there any teams looking to sell a pick because they would not want to pay the $$ due a player in this range?

For example- the top 12 teams record-wise at this point.

Would any give up a #1 for someone on our team?

Are any of these teams going to have contract issues next year where they might want to dump a #1 for money, or include a player they can't afford/don't need with a #1?

Just wondering.

Golden State
Atlanta
Memphis
Houston
Toronto
Portland
Dallas
LA Clippers
San Antonio
Chicago
Washington
Cleveland

Edited: Some of these teams may have already traded away their #1s... not sure which have, though.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Just a few yeras ago you could buy a pick. Now they are worth double to triple. I guess a good example of cost is that trade that just happened.

Atlanta sent the 15th selection of 2014 for a 2017 lottery protected first rounder. If we find a team who is NOT interested --we can either see if they have value in Hardaway are interested in dumping salary cap for one year on us or we can offer a future restricted pick like Atlanta did.

In our position--expediting the pick from 2017 to 2015 for the right player is smart business as long as there is sufficient protection on the 2017(must be lottery protected)
