Lot of great picks a lock top 4 pick will be the most valuable asset the knicks have had since they had max cap space 4 years ago. Hopefully melo has his surgey soon and comes back 110 percent

Its good to have a chance at the lottery. Usually the knicks throw away picks or play good enough to land out of top 5. Even though i hate losing it will help our future and make us better quicker

I hate to see the Knicks lose as well, but the memory of missing out on Steph Curry haunts me to this day. We have to make this losing worth the pain. The way to do that is to come out of this with a great talent that can help start to bring this franchise back. It's been a long time since Ewing and i'd love to see the Knicks land a big talent for a change.

I remember even Steph was looking forward to possibly playing for the Knicks. It was so widely known that we wanted him and not getting him totally changed our fortunes.

we won a ton of useless games that season- long past the time we were even sniffing play offs.

Best thing that could happen is Melo shuts it down, surgery or not, and gets ready for next season.

Because he can't be taking games off next year, and he can't be playing hurt after the second game of the yar.

I'm enjoying this rebuilding process. Thinking of all the new players that we might get is exciting. I know it's not right but I root for the Knicks to lose every game and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Last place guarantees a top 4 picka nd basically a top 3 pick which guarantees us a lot

Yeah, the Steph pick was a painful thing to watch, not to mention D'Antoni gushing over the kid so much. That said, if we had Steph, we would be shooting for a top 3 pick this year.

The lotto is such a crap shoot as far as getting a game changing player, I'm sort of content with any top 3 or 4 pick and perhaps the Basketball Gods make that player really reach
their potential.

This is the most exciting draft and off season for us in a loooooooooooong time. Really looking forward to it. Hopefully we get a great pick and then a week later those FA's might consider us more strongly.

MDA is the worst to ever coach in NY:). I never like his style of basketball. You simy can't anyone to shoot the ball with 20 seconds left in the shot clock.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

You never saw what MDA could do with a PG as talented as Curry in NY. When he had Nash he was able to be very successful and with a little better luck might have gotten to the finals. Kerr brought in Alvin Gentry as his lead assistant, who is well versed in MDA's system since he was MDA's assistant and also ran the system after MDA left. Kerr isn't even pretending not to use a lot of MDA stuff with Steph and Klay. He can mix in some of Pop and PJax stuff too.

We simply need to catch a break this time around and actually draft an impact player in this draft. Hopefully Phil can manage to grab another pick somehow and add another cheap talent. I'd be willing to give up some cap space by taking on a contract in order to get another 1st rd pick. It's a long term view.

it's looking like a clear top 3... with stanley johnson close behind...

it is so crucial that we get a top 3 pick.. it will shape our franchise for the next 5 years... i'm so tired of not liking any players on our team...

If you have the worst record you can't fall more than 3 places thus being a lock for top 4 at the worst.

The point is that you have a shot to be 1, 2 3, or 4... no less. It's better than the alternatives. Okafor, Towns, Russell or Mudiay is a great set of options if the Knicks manage to end with the worst record.

i have never forgiven don nelson for that b**** a** move. you have an all star pg in ellis and you decide to go get another just to stick it to the knicks lol wow

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

I don't think it was Don Nelson trying to stick it to the Knicks - it was simple best player available- which is how we should play the draft- regardless of who is (or might be with FA) on the roster.
