The article yesterday about how he was surprised that he had to motivate guys to play in the NBA and then today this quote:
Fisher seems to be enjoying coaching a team more in his image. He indicated he feels the triangle is better off without proven scorers Smith and Iman Shumpert.

“I think as you see with a little bit of change from one guy to another guy, a lot of things open up within the offense that you can do,” Fisher said. “I just think it’s our ability to find five guys that can take advantage of all that’s within it. But you need guys like Lance and Lou and Langston that are facilitators of the offense and not constantly looking for shot opportunities for themselves.”

Yeah Fisher must really hate Melo

And can't wait until he officially sits out for the season

Probably hoping Amar'e gets waived

That's what I get from Fisher's comments

We know he's not referring to Tyson and Felton

He never coached them and was Shumpert really a ball stopper gunner

Fisher's comments sound very ignorant and front runnerish

I can't believe how naive some of you are to actual include Carmelo in Fisher's assessments. Every offense needs a main man for it to be solid.

I know some of you are going to foolishly claim that it is not the case with the Spurs. I have news for you: Spurs would have never won this many championships had they not relied heavily on Duncan; Ginobli, and Parker. They always have main cogg that they need to be successful. This year, you can clearly see how important Kahwi Leonard is to that system; specifically, given the age of the aforementioned players.

For any system to be successful, it has to have: workabees, and a king maker. We already know that Carmelo is THE king maker in this system, now we have to find a supporting cast to put around him. The problem with this roster is that we don't have a hierarchy. Other then Carmelo, we have no one else we can consistently count on.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

That comment makes it sound that way but he has a habit of playing Melo for 40 minutes lately.

To me it looked like he was referring to JR and Shump as not optimal players for the triangle without saying that they couldn't fully grasp it. Instead he chooses a very diplomatic" looking for shot attempts"

So 2 players who missed near a month of time

Are the ones who tipped the scales to failure

Both playing the guard position in which he refused to

Play THJR for like the first month[whom I assume isn't one he's including in the dumb crowd]

Nice try trying to be the coach translator here but

Fisher is putting his Farts before the 4 meal Course

not surprising as neither player were/are willing passers. neither plays well without the ball in their hands.

Well, we also didn't have the talent to execute a system as well
I brought it up early in the season that we should run other schemes/systems while the strength of many of our players were PnR's
We had multiple shooters and a post player in STAT and a versatile F in CA, mixed in with the shooters we had..

It would allow our players to do better and have better trade value, if we continued to suck, we would lose trade value
And NixLuva replied back that I knew nothing about the Triangle, blah blah, blah blah....

Well Kerr took theories of all systems that he has learned and tweaked it to the strengths of his team
Even theries of the Triangle, and that is why Kerr is good coach and a great mind

Most of the players we have on our roster WILL NOT BE PART OF OUR FUTURE BY NEXT YEAR

So why should we FORCE THEM TO LEARN something thtat they clearly did not understand as a whole and slowly bring it to them, bit by bit
Clearly, building up value for the players we were looking to ship out should have been the #1 goal while slowly implementing the Triangle
While next year we would have hand picked the players that we want and then we fully go all out in running the Triangle with higher IQ players and players that will be part of our future going forward

It just didn't make sense
Is this on Fisher or Phil Jackson?
