This guy deserves a look next year. I see some Taj Gibson potential in him.

Yep this is a good bench player a bigger, smarter shandon Anderson who is smart enough to not shoot threes... Really good team player

Shandon is a great comparison. Lance should be cheaper.

Have to agree with this, but it has been fun to watch him use the opportunity Fisher is giving him.

Teams are going to challenge him to shoot a jumper- it will be interesting to see if he has any consistency.

I thought he had a strange follow-through on a couple of his shots- at 26, I would think that it would be hard to fine tune it.

Nice defender, so far. He has kind of caught me by surprise.

Seems to buy into the offensive scheme.

His presence on the team makes it doubtful that the Knicks will bring up Thanasis, IMO.

Fighting for an end of the bench spot next season- so far he is earning a contract for the rest of this season.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

+1 I agree with you a lot on shot consistancy, one thing I tend to do is to watch the way the players shoot and to see if it is consistant or not, I noticed he did something different about 2-4 times like one time he would step into his shot for some reason and another team he'd look like he is doing a better version of a rashard Lewis. Nevertheless, he put in work tonight and it paid off.

I think you sign him to a two year with this year being the only guaranteed year, same for Lou, Galloway on a cheap 4 year with a 5 year team option

dont get too crazy over one game... he is a decent rebounder and passer but this was very flukey for him shooting wise... he survives mainly in the mid range and he's never been consistent there... doesn't finish well at the rim and doesn't have a 3pt game... so he's your typical end of the bench guy...

i don't mind sticking out the year to help the towns/okafor cause tho!

It also goes to show you what it's like to play with high iq players who can play within a system with a superstar in melo... Unlike low iq players shump and jr who don't understand how to play team ball..

Yea jr is doing good now just wait till he starts going 1-9 with bad defense and lackluster play he's the definition of streaky player, when his shots not falling his whole game falls apart...

Phil needs to find more high iq hard working players to fit this system keep fishing for d league charmers to fill out the bench once caldron, prigs, brags are gone

He is what he is. If Melo shuts it down hopefully Early and Wear show promise on D. At least they still have upside at the 3/4 positions.

He played well last night. Truth be told, I wouldn't have resigned him after he was initially waived. Funny how you mention Thomas and Galloway in the same sentence -- I see both on the same level -- both are halfway decent young players but I just feel there were better fish in the sea for us to choose from. Having said that, he's far from terrible. I remember posting about this guy in the NBA thread weeks back when he was still with Oklahoma City. KD was out and this guy was doing a nice job in his place. The particular game I remember watching he was impressive.. Looks pretty long, fairly athletic and he can hit from the mid-range. Would I have liked to see us acquire a more dynamic/higher upside forwards like a JaMychal Green or a Quincy Miller? You bet. Or a big 2G like a Kevin Murphy or Orlando Johnson? Yes. Or a better PG over Galloway in Bryce Cotton? Yes. The one guy I would've kept around from that trade we made with Cleveland/Ok. City was C Alex Kirk -- turns out he's the only one Phil didn't want back so go figure. And how about Austin Daye, recently cut by the Spurs to make room for JaMychal Green? I think a case can be made that he might make a little more sense than Lance Thomas...Nothing we can do now -- the Knicks made their moves and appear set with their roster for the time being. Let's see what guys like Galloway and Lance Thomas can continue to do for us. Maybe I'm wrong and there's higher upside with each guy than I thought.

I disagree with you on Galloway the guy has a huge Celling been watching this guy since st joe. This guy has chancy billips written all over him... Natural born leader even at st joes, plays lock down defense( you can't teach personal defense it's a mind set) Galloway gave victor O fits all night long last night.. Hits the big shot, dead eye three point touch, hits the open mid range, attacks the basket, dose not stop his dribble, a willing passer, sets teammates up for the best shot... The best part about Galloway is that he's just a rookie he's going to get a lot better.

As far as I am concerned, it is nice to see players with a Knicks uniform crashing the board and playing defense. I hope he can continue to show those nuances and continue to grow as a young player.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

As for lance Thomas, I really like his defense ability like shandon Anderson anything they give you on offense is a bonus. You can't teach that kind of lock down defense... Lance owned t Harris last night
