The past results are all there with the last 10 games each game played, great site
Will GS sweep Houston?

Houston vs GS (home)
Final regular season game today, blowout in the last 2, won by 11 the first time, with multiple injuries on GS in first 2 games
Will it be a sweep?
Think it is a ESPN game, Briggs and other posters watch how GS plays, they are the real deal
Pay attention on how they defend, play as a team, move without the ball, space the floor, how they get open, screens used etc...

This upcoming draft has too many high ceiling players to not consider trading CA and do a short rebuild by 2017 when the CAP rises signigantly
Grab some talents from Kentucky, especially their BIGS, and multiple upside talents, in the 1st and 2nd round, and focus on development for our future
Grab the Rasheed Wallace, Billups, Battier, etc, overpay for coaching, but these players are versatile and know to link the old school games with the new *evolved* league
Former players that have HIGH IQ, versatile skill sets, and can pass their knowledge, that has the respect of these young guys and will listen to them as they are their idols and appreciate the ability to learn from them abilties/knowledge of the game, as they are all students of the game

Even Trainers, we must hand select and spend the money, equipment, on how to build their body on the for the fit and style of play to go with their physical strengths and weakness's
The game has evolved and so has Sports Science, Kerr understands this and that is why he tweaked his system to fit the skills of his players to go with the way the league has evolved
Defending the 3pter is a must not, it is not an hard shot for many
Everyone must have the ability to spread the floor, defend multiple positions *needing speed/quickness/HIGH IQ*, handle the ball/post up, and be strong/quick/athletic
The progessions from College to the NBA is completely different so spending the money on how to develop these guys bodies while preventing future injuries is essential
Build the core, agility, and physical abilties to go with smarts/IQ and we will have a very bright future

While ONE pick isn't enough, if we can do a firesale for any players that could get us 2nd rounders outside of Thanasis, it would be a perfect timing with our cap space we have to concentrate on development on our roster, coaching, and development coaches/trainers, by 2017 they will show enough potential to attract FA's where many talents will be available

So grabbing as many younger/talents that could teach our young guys how to play, how to defend, how to train off the court, and by 2017 it would be better than any option for our next decade than any other route we choose

By then, many teams will also improve and many teams have upwards of 15 picks in the next 3 drafts
Having 1 top pick even if it is #1, simply is not enough

The timing of it with our losing season could be the ultimate blessing in diguise and disgust
But till then, spend as much money on players/coaching staff that unvail the ceiling/talents of this draft, and our guy guys that are were are in The Summer/D League Roster

CA has to go, he is not a true foundation to build upon
JR Smith, a great friend of CA, recently stated the difference between CA and Lebron's leadership, and it surely is affecting his play as well

JR Smith said something like, CA is a leader that shows you how to do things
While Lebron is a leader that tells you and then shows you how to do things

With that said, CA is who he is at this point, you cannot expect him to change at his age, however, he just isn't a true veteran/leader
However, by *overpaying for Draymond Green* and the combination of young talents and this draft, we can be a TOP defensive team that learns how to play as a team, while adding/developing young talent each year till 2017, where MANY STARs will be available

NO ONE is going to choose NY over any other team this summer that offers anything close to another team
So we are going to have to either overpay for talent regardless and if we are going to overpay, OVERPAY FOR YOUNG TALENT that improves the culture, chemistry, defensive, work ethic, and development of our entire roster, while still being young/improving a couple years from now and still not declining for our future

We have to play as a team, especially with all the talents stacking up together
With all these "BAD TEAMS" having young players, draft picks, and young talent, they will also get much better, while the teams with Lebron/Pau etc, will decline in a couple years signigantly

I hope everyone watched the game and see why GS's DEFENSE is ELITE

Watched how they attack together with floor spacing and NOT 1v1
How they utlize picks on and off the ball with their shooters
How they use the POST to INITIATE the offense and how 4 players move in angles together to attack the DEFENSE

How they make one of the leagues TOP scoring team and scoring player in Harden and Center in D12, uncomfortable, and how they use their speed/quickness to ally pressure as a whole while playing passing lanes
Their anticipation and chemistry is the key ingredient, with unselfishness
It IS NOT just Curry and/or Klay, they play as a unit, something we would like to achieve

Why is that they defend much better than other teams?
These are things that can be Draymond Green and some HIGH IQ players can teach, with their philosophy on how to defend
Until we get these highly skilled and high IQ players, we will be AVERAGE at best

Dragic is nice but a player of Green's caliber would ultimateley MAKE EVERYONE better with their approach/high IQ alone
It would be better than having a extra coach playing, because he is also a high work ethic gym rat
So even in the GYM, on the court, off the court, in the locker room, it would all play a major role in the development of our 2015 1st rounder, Thanasis, Galloway, and D League callups

Stop using STATs to measure what you think a player is worth
Because that is not how teams like GS/Atlanta/Spur's play, they play as a unit, sacrificing for the better of the team
The leadership and chemistry cannot be measured in STATS and BOXSCORES

The order I would place the FA's

1- Kawaii Leanard or Jimmy Butler *unlikely to land either but day 1 of FA would call them up, no questions asked*

2- Draymond Green *possible only because of the payroll of GS and they are a small market team, it is our true chance in stealing a very talented, high IQ, great defensive, skilled player*

3- Millsap/Dragic, would sign their brother's to contracts if they signed with us, as we would be limited on what we can pay them.... even using part of the MLE on both of them if needed for 4year deals, that is our only loop hole and chance in landing them....

Resign Cole ALdrich, as we have his early bird rights in order to get FULL 6m MLE, either use it on 2 players at about 3m each or/and part of it to lure the brothers of Millsap (Elijah G/F) and Zoran (PG/SG)
IF needed, we can stretch Calderon for an extra 4-5m to spend, however, we must have an agreement in place first
I do not think it makes much of a difference otherwise, as the 4-5m we are able to spend would be used for a shooter of Calderon's caliber in another position anyway

Need to use cap space or exemption to sign Thanasis to a 3 or 4 year deal, starting at 1m per year, probably 3years would be best for Thanasis, so we would get his full bird rights and give us time to anaylze and develop his game

Resign Langston Galloway with a vet min 2 year player option deal, the following year we get his early bird rights, so he can be secured with us and be part of this changing culture

2015 1st round pick

hopefully buy/trade for 2-4 more picks/1st and 2nd rounders *using our future 1st rounders and/or Acey/Larkin/Tim Hardaway JR/Early, whoever has a market and is willing Phil Jackson feels there is someone in the draft that is worth doing attainable

call up Orlando Sanchez as well
Do not mind resiging Jason Smith to a vet min deal, next year we would have his bird rights as well
If not, sweet Lou, not Lou WIlliams, Lou AMUNDSON!
Goodbye Amare, unless a vet min is enough and he would be playing a very limited role as a 9th man or so
Personally would rather haver someone like Kmart but since Amare started it all, wouldn't mind him staying as he has developed a post game and worked very hard for his comeback

i agree with everything you said regarding the warriors

i agree with the type of high IQ players we need

however i dont agree that the knicks will get kawai, butler, dragic or green

i think the knicks should focus on more "realistic" targets who are role players such as:
- D. Carroll
- G. Neal
- G. Henderson
- A. Gee
- D. Arthur
- Ju. Holiday
- Lav Allen
- D. Sloan
- W. Johnson
- E. Davis
- K. Koufas
- K. Middleton
- Th. Young
- K. OQuinn
- McDaniels
- B. Wright
- Do. Wright

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

The point is if Kawaii and/or Butler is willing to sign it, we should 100% offer it
Why give those teams the time to try to attract FA's when we are trying to compete with them for FA's and they are also our contenders

Only 2 things can result out of it

1- They match but have 3 days to do so while they would only have 3 days to target FA's and still keep their RFA's
2- We actually get the young STAR on our team

Draymond Green has a legit chance of leaving the KNICKS though, with the payroll the way it is
They likely with try to be able to move somebody though, wheter it may be David Lee, Iggy, Bogut, or at least Livingston/Speights and maybe few lower contracts as well
Part of GS's strength is depth, Harrison Barnes is a big part of their success as well, he will be a RFA in 2 years

Player 2014/15 2015/16 2016/17 2017/18 2018/19 2019/20
David Lee $15,012,000 $15,493,680 $0 $0 $0 $0
Andrew Bogut $12,972,973 $12,000,000 $11,027,027 $0 $0 $0
Andre Iguodala $12,289,544 $11,710,456 $11,131,368 $0 $0 $0
Stephen Curry $10,629,213 $11,370,786 $12,112,359 $0 $0 $0
Shaun Livingston $5,305,000 $5,543,725 $5,782,450 $0 $0 $0
Marreese Speights $3,657,500 $3,815,500 $0 $0 $0 $0
Klay Thompson $3,075,880 $15,501,000 $16,663,575 $17,826,150 $18,988,725 $0
Harrison Barnes $3,049,920 $3,873,398 $5,194,226 $0 $0 $0
Leandro Barbosa $1,448,490 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
Brandon Rush $1,145,685 $1,270,964 $0 $0 $0 $0
Festus Ezeli $1,112,880 $2,008,748 $3,013,122 $0 $0 $0
Nemanja Nedovic $1,104,240 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
Draymond Green $915,243 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
Justin Holiday $816,482 $1,147,276 $0 $0 $0 $0
Ognjen Kuzmic $816,482 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
James Michael McAdoo $29,843 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
TOTALS: $73,381,375 $78,772,757 $50,934,329 $17,826,150 $18,988,725 $0

- See more at: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/golden_state.htm#sthash.ipNZQJMk.dpuf

Their payroll this year is already 79m while
So if you add in 12-15m for Green, it would be quite a lot for a small market team, though Lee only has 1 more year left as does Speights (team option)
However, Justin Holiday will be a RFA with Harrison Barnes, David Lee UFA after next season as well....

I do not mind targetting those players, However, I am saying just OFFER the MAX to

1 - Kawaii/Butler
2- Draymond Green

First, As I do not expect to actually win, but it would be great if we did, as we would limit those teams on actually improving
Remember FA's is cycle, before the more wanted players sign, EVERYONE else is a waiting game

Those are the steps I would take and I want to market to dry up, so we can have leverage of players and look for value players that we want and FIT
So like last year, till CA, Lebron, Bosh, signed, little was done

We want to be able to find the Bayless, Sessiosn, in terms of talent/salary with the list of players you have

Players that can range from 2m - 3.5m and 4.5m

A good amount of FA's of contracts in that neighorhood of money
Looking for value rather than going on a bidding war for talents like Reggie Jackson or Brandon Knight
