Getting rid of JR is definitely a blessing in disguise for Carmelo. Those two have been together for a very long time. As a result, they have both remained immature and have suppressed each other's growth. Kenyon Martin was also part of the Denver group; if u all can remember.

Phill will now have the perfect opportunity to surround Carmelo with people that can help bring the best out of his game and perhaps help him to reach that next level he talked about. It is very evident that Carmelo is not: a leader, a vocal guy that can command others to do what is right, a guy that brings it at both ends of the court every night, etc. therefore, Phill should aim at acquiring the right personalities to surround him.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
